WE visited with the locals in Jan and it's great to have War Memorial at Kings Park. WE spend around 1 hour there. Listening to the solemn memorial ceremony. There's a bus to head to Kings Park - just ask friendly bus-driver. We made friend with the bus-driver during the trip.

Attending a Dawn Service at the Kings Park War Memorial is something you have to experience to fully appreciate. The war memorial has an excellent view of Perth and the Swan River. Adjacent to it are the botanical gardens which are very well set out. It is divided into regions and the plants in each area are well marked. Had visited last year but this year at the start of Spring it was even better.

Great memorial with good water view and the skyline as a backdrop. The Flame of Remembrance within the Pool of Reflection is very impressive especially if viewed in perfect alignment with the Cenotaph.

As the sun comes up over the horizon behind the war memorial at the dawn service you cannot help to be moved and think of all those that have made the highest contribution to this country by giving their lives.

What a superb location, up in Kings Park overlooking Perth.View superb, surrounded by beautiful lawns and wild flowers..Should always make the effort to see it on Anzac Day..the ceremony is very emotional and is a great place to remember our fallen comrades.
