Pretty much all Perth beaches are lovely, and this doesn't disappoint. Cottesloe is still more of a "must-see", and easier to get to, but the drive to City Beach transports you out of the city into forest and scrub in quite spectacular fashion. More

Perth's beaches are awesome. City beach is the closest to the city. It has bbq facilities, pretty clean toilets and there are a couple of bars around. there are usually big waves so you gotta be careful when entering /going out of the water. Perfect place for a picnic with friends. More

I've seen beaches in SA, Victoria and NSW, I have to say without a doubt WA beaches are the best, clean, free of seaweed and rocks, just golden sand. City Beach is where we went growing up and still go today because the development is so good. It's not complicated, just simple and they have a good lifesaving club. More
