A great idea in the middle of the city - water features for the children and deckchairs for the adults. A great idea for a hot day in the city & Mum can shop too as it is right beside main shopping precinct.

This is one of those beachese where u can take the little ones as the waves are not too daunting and there is a decent open play area for children and a large ground for picnic set ups. Toilets readily available and shops close by if u want to nip in. great place for kite flying if u are into... More

Beautiful sandy beach, crashing waves, masses of kite surfers to watch. We hired bikes and cycled around Cottesloe- really pleasant way to spend the afternoon - stopping off at cafes along the way.

This is a good place to visit as it is not over run by tourists. There is a pub and cafe located at the beach with a new surf club under construction. Plenty of parking if you drive or take the bus from the city to the beach and enjoy your day in the sun.

This beach has a number of places you can grab a bite to eat, two shaded playgrounds for the kids (which are always super busy) and lovely shady trees with views of the most beautifully coloured sea. I love City Beach but am always hesitant about taking my young children there as the swell can get really massive. Great for... More

wgat a lovely beach to go relax on. The waters are sadly watched over by the local life guards so it makes swimming more fun. There is a beach hut just at the entrance fore ice cold drinks and something to eat.

We came here Xmas morning, Santa hats and all. Thankfully everyone else seemed to have the same idea. That day we got a taxi, next time the bus, which is very good value, I think it was the 102 from town. The other beach goers are friendly, the waves were great the second day, but you have to respect the... More

City Beach and surrounds are just magnificent, so peaceful during the week. So easy to commune with the ocean spirits. the water is clean, crystal, sand is white and squeaks and fantastic facilities for showering etc afterwards at the surf club and cafe.

A clean beach and quiet enough to enjoy the evening dinner. A decent place to go inside water. But this beach has nothing striking compared to other beaches in the area.

A nice enough beach but nothing spectacular. For me the best beach in Perth remains Cottesloe Beach. City Beach is nice enough but somehow doesn't have the same vibe as Cottesloe.
