I did the whale watching tour a few weeks back while on holiday in Perth from the UK. It was great! We saw lots of whales and had a great time. Advice: DO take sea sickness tables and don't drink the night before...(the boyfriend made this mistake and a hangover and a very rough ocean did not go well together!)

We recently went on the Whale Watching Cruise as a surprise Birthday present for our 7 year old daughter. All we can say is WOW, what an experience! The Staff and Crew were all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the information that they were providing; you could tell that they were passionate about what they were doing. Our party... Very enjoyable trip with very knowledgeable crew. The whales were a bit shy on the day but the skipper kept sailing till we spotted several and tagged along with a mother and her calf. Very moving. Nice clean vessel with toilet facilities and snacks available tho we took our Esky.

I found it to be a most enjoyable day out, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the promise that they will stay until you see a whale was kept

I have been travelling to Perth from UK for last 6 years and never miss an opportunity to take my son out on one of the fishing charters. These guys are extremely helpful and it is quite obvious that they know there stuff. From the moment that you get on board you know that it you are in Safe Hands... More

Had a tremendous trip. Glorious weather and within an hour we had spotted whales and were soon in the midst of them. They were swimming to the side of us, under us and generally all around us. They were so close you could see their barnacles. The commentary was informative and staff friendly and helpful. Being a small boat meant... More

We were well prepared as advised and had had our sea sickness tablets before boarding particularly after the lady in the ticket office told us there would be a swell. Many people were sick shortly after leaving at 9am. We were lucky to see some whales in the distance and about 10.30/11 3 did come quite close to the boat.... More

I have done whale watching cruise in Gold Coast and it was an entertaining 4-hr cruise with interesting commentary and staff despite seeing less than 3 whales. However, we did not have such good experience with Mills Charters. The cruise was done on a fishing charter hence the group is smaller. Hence I expect the trip to be more interactive... More

I went on the morning tour on Sunday October 26th, together with my daughter and 2 French exchange students. Within 30 minutes we saw a big pod of whales, already breaching and doing all kinds of other movements in a short distance. From then on it only got better, tail and fin slapping and waving, 2 big males coming really... More

Thank you for posting your feedback Elise. We are so pleased to hear of your great experience with the whales and thankfully your French guests held out with their seasickness to also enjoy the whales. It sounds like the whales put on quite a show on the day of your cruise. Regarding seasickness it is a very personal issue and... More

Expectation: Sighting whales doing "Free Willy" breaches across the boat throughout the journey. Reality: Looking around to see guests battling sea sickness and wishing they had not joined this trip after 10 minutes. If you have young children, best to avoid this as you'll be more preoccupied caring for them than looking out for whales. And when you eventually do,... More
