We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the cinemas, it was a great night watching Into the Storm. We loved the olde world charm and when a plane went over it just finished a great night.

You sit in a chair and watch a movie in the outdoors. The fact that the planes fly over and block the sound occasionally just make for more atmosphere. The usual ice-creams and popcorn are available. Lovely spot. Make sure you put on your repellant as the bugs like the place.

Almost unchanged since early 20th century beginnings. Outdoor theater with canvas sling chairs, large screen, surprisingly good acoustics, tourist and locals alike. Several rows under the roof overhang, the rest in the open air on grass. Small refreshment stand. Amusing side show, on the night we were there, of small birds and bats at twilight.

What a great place to see a movie on a splendidly warm evening. Just got into the movie and the whole theatre gasped, and then laughed as one of the planes flew within almost touching disance over the theatre. Gave us all a bit of a fright I think. Great experience, just looking around at the nostalgia. Fun night out,... More

An interesting experience, sitting in the open watching a movie on the big screen. A must do whilst in Broome.

An experience that you should do, but be prepared to have this punctuated quite loudly with landing aircraft (if the wind is blowing the right way). The theater sits in the old part of town, just under the flight path of planes when landing from the east. Totally worthwhile, but also bring a blanket as the temperature does drop off... More

Was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this to anyone whilst in Broome. Loved the open-air experience and the old-worldly feel to the place.

You simply have to come and see this place whatever is showing. But I do wish they were showing an old classic rather than the garbage that Hollywood put out this summer.

This place is utterly charming and unique. Untouched, a quirky freeze-frame of cinema history in a delightful outdoor tropical setting. Don't miss it.
