Loved this retro cinema in the open air. Sit outside in the open part (that is if it is fine weather). Watch out for low flying aeroplanes ... but this just adds to the fun of the place. Loved the choc tops and popcorn. All those memories in those canvas chairs made this a memorable experience. Fabulous

Fabulous place to see a movie right in the open air. This has been an institution in Broome since the beginning of the 20th century. Love it!

Fantastic movie, so very sad. Pity about the 25 Helicopters that fly directly over and above the theatre for practice landings that night we missed quite a bit of the dialogue!!!

We saw 12 years a slave here and the movie certainly befitted the surrounds. Loved the geckos on the screen but they did not infer with picture. Remember to take a cushion/ pillow as seats are not that comfortable.

This is a must when you go to Broome....bucket of pop corn, canvas deck chair seating, snuggling with your baby under the stars.....a true piece of "Australiana"

Loved the historic cinema with plenty of movie history dotted around, and the ambiance of sitting in the balmy Broome air watching an open air movie. Was expensive but I think that was because we went to a special event. Ultimately probably worth it for a unique movie experience.

Great place and most interesting when a commercial jet is 250mts above your head. A bit of yesteryear.

Loved this old fashioned cinema with canvas chairs and the smell of frangipani in the air! Surreal feeling being under the stars without air con and with the beautiful ocean breezes blowing.

We saw a movie at Sun Pictures Cinema. This was a novelty. We sat in the deck chairs to watch the outdoor cinema. Make sure you take the aerogard with you. A pillow might be handy also as the chairs get a bit hard. The planes fly close overhead to land at the airport, it is all part of the... More
