Owner description: The Buddha Sanctuary at Cable Beach has received some loving TLC over the past few months with a new decking platform, shaded new entry area, landscaped gardens and a sacred rock pond on its way. The space has also recently transitioned to be known as the Blue Body Buddha Sanctuary - linking it with a well-established meditation and wellness centre, the Blue Body Spiritual Centre based in Perth, WA. Despite the change of name, the Buddha Sanctuary remains closely connected with Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa and offers daily yoga classes for resort guests and locals. Spending quiet time at the Buddha Sanctuary is a must for anyone visiting Broome. Established more than 10 years ago as a space for the local community, the Buddha Sanctuary is home to a 4 metre tall, crystal Buddha that harnesses the energy of Buddha Kuan Yin (goddess of Mercy and Compassion). The Yoga Pavilion, open decking area and ornamental garden offers visitors a special space for quiet reflection, meditation and relaxation. The Buddha Sanctuary is open from 7am - 10am and 4pm - 7pm on most days. Yoga classes are currently held Monday to Friday (6am & 7.30am) with an additional evening class at 5.15pm on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays.

Very tranquil and peaceful. Huge Buddha on a stage . Pleasant garden not a large place but you can sit quietly . They actually hold a Yoga class in the sanctuary.

Near Cable Beach behind the Cable Beach Club resort. Somewhat difficult to find out yoga class times - need to ring or visit the Sanctuary - early morning or late afternoon. $15 per class. Lovely garden / setting.

Loved the serenity... No cost to enter... I was able to meditate quietly with not a soul there at the time... Good photo opportunity

Looked a nice place to do yoga classes, but as I'm not into that it was just a quick look at a statue in small gardens then out again. Probably best if you decide to take some time to soak in the relaxed gardens.

This place is so beautiful that people fall silent when they walk around into the garden and contemplate the statue. Meditation without even trying. And yoga classes if you know when they are held.
