Bird Observatory Experience

Loved Roebuck Bay and the Town Beach, and also spent 2 days at the Bird Observatory which was amazing. Wonderful beach down there with lots of water birds. Great facilities

Loved travelling across the mud flaps in such an amazing vehicle. Great way to see the low tide and of course the dinosaur footsteps. Worth a trip

If you watch Ray Mears, you will know of the Diamonds, scattered somewhere in Roebuck Bay, by the Aboriginals. Found on a crashed plane, but thrown away, as the loals thought they were going to get arrested if caught with then. Still in the ground somewhere..........

The Bay is a beautiful place with turquoise waters matched against the vivid red of the pindan red cliffs and the pinky grey tidal flats. We have witnessed amazing tidal flows, the Stairway to the Moon phenomenon ( the moon rising over the Bay leaving an artistic look not unlike a staircase) and a variety of watercraft using the Bay.... Roebuck Bay was huge and the water colour stunning. Shoreline is very pretty with contrast from red soil to blue water. Small patches of mangrove mixed with sand beaches also adds to the appeal.

Visit at high tide and low tide it looks so different. If you're there at the right time of the month (the full moon) the Staircase to the moon is a must, We went to the Mangrove Hotel, they have a very spacious garden with lots of seating, do get there early for a good seat. Food and drinks are... More

Roebuck bay is a place you can just sit day or night & relax. You should visit at HIGH & LOW tide as it is so different. At low tide you can see & walk to the wrecks of two plains bombed during WW11. At night when the stairway to the moon appears on certain dates it is amazing &... More

this is an amazing spot to watch the staircase to the moon, fireworks for aussie day or just having a quite drink. watching the tides change is also amazing or going for a walk and racing the tides back in is a lot of fun with children. there is so much to see here.

Roebuck Bay is the first thing you see as you approach Broome from the air. The colours of the water alone are mesmerising. I think that the colours of this part of country in general are what strike you, they are so vivid. As we toured around the Broome area for 4 days Roebuck Bay was always there, forever changing...
