At low spring tide between March and October, the light of the full moon is reflected in the mud flats, creating the illusion of a golden staircase leading to the moon. This remarkable natural phenomenon is not to be missed, and Broome Town Beach is an excellent place to experience this "Staircase to the Moon." In addition, a market is... More

For a couple of nights a month, the Staircase Night Markets run at Town Beach so you can see the Staircase to the Moon while enjoying food and random things in the markets. We were lucky enough to be in Broome during one of these nights so made the trek to Town Beach with what seemed like half of Broome.... More

Very nice little beach and very easily accessible either via the town bus or walking which we did as we were within easy distance.

The Town Beach is delightful with lots of trees and shade and a kiosk and great views. There is also a pioneer cemetery nearby which is well worth a visit.

No good for swimming and fishing due to bities and stingers in the water and extreme tides. Fishing maybe near the high tide. Good for a stroll in the sun.

Tide was out when we were there. A nice little beach. Go towards where the jetty used to be look to the left at colour of red dirt cliffs. Worth a photo. Has a large car park.

There are apparently stingers in the water so no swimming, however there were somesmall flounders being caught. Plenty of grass to sit on and relax.

Lovely Beach, close to town. The warm shallow water is just inviting to play with the children. At the beginning of July we did not need to worry about stingers or crocs.

Town Beach is small flat water beach close to the center of the township of Broome. Good place to go if you want a swim or want a safe place for the children to play. There is a well located cafe and car parking and toilets. The views out into Roebuck Bay are nice to look at as you take... More
