Town Beach is a great place to visit during the full moon when Staircase to the Moon is clearly visible over the mud flats of Roebuck Bay when the tide is out. Portable eateries are also set up for the occasion as well as places where souvenirs can be purchased.

this is such a different place to cable beach and it is right in town. The mangroves add a natural touch to this place. The café serves reasonably priced meals which are delicious- I had a shepherd's pie for $16.50 - well worth the money. I couldn't believe the bird life along the beach front- got some great photos of... More

Broome Town Beach is small in size, but fantastic for the picturesque view. To me, the distinctive feature of this Beach is its magical colour – red sandy beach with turquoise water, decorated with baobab and palm trees, seagulls and other birds playing around on the beach or in the sky, a nature’s painting by God’s brush. A word of... More

Town beach is as it says in the town. Quite nice little beach. Not sure about swimming there, there was a sign warning about a croc' being sited two days before. Views to the port, there was a cruise ship in dock the day we were there. The hovercraft was doing a trip down into the bay. A little cemetery... More

Sit to the Mangroves edge, on a full moon and watch the steps progress in the water, as the moon rises. NOT TO BE MISSED IF IN BROOME.

This was a very small town, it is worthwhile to stop and check it out along your travels if you can. Not much to see and do here

Another of Broomes iconic beaches although not as well known. It is near the famous Matsos micro brewery and features a steepish sandy beach ( with big tidal movements) a great cafe for Breakfast and lunch and a very good kids playground / water play area. Good access and parking but with everything Broome don't forget to lock your car!!!

Nice parkland with beach and good views. Café at park provided good food at a reasonable price. Views over Roebuck Bay and Mangroves along foreshore were nice.

Every time we went there, the carpark was chock full of backpackers with lines strung up here, there and everywhere drying their wet laundry and using the free open air shower for their weekly ablutions.
