Good walk out on the jetty - every good holiday should have a walk on a jetty! The trucks keep driving out to load the boats that supply the oil rigs, so it was interesting to watch the cranes at work. The separation of pedestrian and road traffic makes it as safe walk out on the jetty. We also had... More

One must visit the Darwin Wharf Precinct to experience the amount the tide does rise and fall,it is some 20 odd feet,we had dinner at the Wharf Restaurant one evening as they specialise in seafood ,good tucker no complaints, also value for money. Big tip when you go there, have a cab take you there and have the taxi cabs number... More

Loved the walk out to the end of the pier. Fun to watch people catch fish off the pier. Have a wine and calamari at the eatery there - the best. No coffee unfortunately but I guess that would clog up the seating with just coffee drinkers

When visiting 11 years ago, you use to be able to walk on half the wharf, not so now. It is now gated off by custom's. There is a sub wharf that the fisherman use. The wharf restaurant at the beginning of the wharf comes highly recommended by locals having lovely fresh seafood although very pricey.

Popped down as a tourist ('cause we had hired a car) and planned to have a drink/coffee but before leaving had been told the Wharf Restaurant was a bit pricey so gave that a miss and just took a lovely long leisurely walk along the jetty and talked with a couple of local fisherman. Weather was pleasant and overcast. Just... More

Nice walk to the end of the wharf, really shows the huge tidal movement of this area. Clear blue water and the fish were abundant under the wharf (except when we went fishing later that evening).

You have to go back to wharf twice, once at high tide and once a low tide. It is fantastic to see the difference in water levels.

Our visit to Broome was not to be missed. A great & excellent place to visit, not only the Wharf & Jetty, but the whole Township with its interesting Pearling History. Stayed at the Cable Spa & Beach Resort & dined in their great Restaurants for 3 days. Watched the beautiful Sunsets & took a Camel Ride along the Beach,... More
