Must place to go when you are at Melbourne. Catch blue penguins at St.Kilda pier. Interesting people watching along the beach. Amazing cakes & pastries at Acland Street but seats at the shops are limited.

If the locals go there, it must be a good place to have a family day picnic, or just to take a relaxing stroll, or just to look and the hunks bodies or bikinis sun tanning. The beach is clean after a good clean up few years ago. There is a cafe at the end of a long pier, also... More

Interesting people you will find at this place. To get to the city from here you should take a tranv. Please note that in order to be able to use this transportation you will need to buy a card (and charge it)

We had lovely weather -- AND jagged a Fathers Day Vintage Car display - but WOW the cake shops and ambience were great. BTW the Sunday markets are well worth a trip - beautiful work - a great place to gather some special gifts.

This was an amazing trendy little beach place. We went on a Sunday which is market day. Great very high quality stalls and very lovely people. The main street had some quaint little funky shops and some amazing restaurants. We chose a lovely periperi kebab from a street vendor and it was great value they even filled up my water... More

We enjoyed catching a tram out to the iconic St Kilda Beach. Despite being a very hot day, we did manage to find a breeze under a tree. It is a good place to relax, have a swim and just join in with all the fun. We did a quick visit to the Lunar Park but didn't bother with having... More

We visited in November & it was very windy I now know why there is barricades on only one side! it the direction the wind blows you. The beaches are much cleaner than I remember as a kid visiting and the wharf has been done up and the kiosk at the end sells a mean coffee & hot chocolate just... More

Browse the shops and stroll along the boardwalk, nice laid back place. Vey easy to reach on the 96 tram. A nice way to spend a couple of hours. Would be a nice place to be based, within easy reach of the CBD.

This is one of the popular beach for locals and tourists alike. Good place to have a family day out or just having a simple relaxing stroll or bike ride around the area. There are also people reading books in the open area beside getting a tan. The beach is well maintain and kept clean overall now after the refurbishment... More
