How nice to sit along side the Yarra and watch the boats go past. Does Melbourne do the gardens to a "T"? Yes we certainly do!

Melbourne has so many beautiful gardens it's hard to know where to start, but regardless of your starting point, the last will be just as beautiful as the first.

Melbourne has some great gardens and the closest one to Jasper Hotel was Carlton Gardens - great to sit and have bit of lunch . my friend checked out the Exhibition centre and parts of the Melbourne Museum. Have walked these parks few times in my various visits to Melbourne. good distraction from the city hub around

Melbourne is lucky to have gardens at all four corners of the central business district. Each has their own character and unique features to discover. Flagstaff gardens in the west was once a cemetery for the first settlers, guided into the city by the flagpole on the small mound that was here. Carlton Gardens to the north is Heritage Listed... The Melbourne' s garden is just gorgeous, it is a very nice place to go and see a beautiful landscape. It is free, you can get the tram (which is also free) and go around the cdb to enjoy the gardens.

Plenty to see in this beautiful garden. If this is your first visit, join one of the free guided tours. Or simply follow your nose. You won't be disappointed. My favourite sections are the children's gardens, the volcano, the herb garden and the recently discovered bamboo groves. Spend a few hours or a whole day there. There's a fabulous restaurant...
