Spectacular colours delight as you walk through the many gardens in Melbourne. Add the perfect blue sky and who needs a gallery! Thank-you Melbourne patriarchs who planned and cared for these truly magnificent spaces. Year round they are beautiful but autumn has to be one of my favourite times to enjoy them...go!

Green and refreshing all year round, go alone or take the family. Make sure you wear a jacket in the winter and bring some seeds to feed the birds

The Botanic gardens are great to walk through, enjoy the restaurants and the views. Great place for a picnic or to take the kids. Walk through Alexandra Gardens over the river on your way there... Most scenic walk and one of my favourite walks in Melbourne. There's a great restaurant outside the Botanic Gardens sort of near the Shrine entrance.... More

How nice to sit along side the Yarra and watch the boats go past. Does Melbourne do the gardens to a "T"? Yes we certainly do!

Melbourne has its Botanical Gardens, also public parks and gardens near the city and in the suburbs, and a lot of well-loved private gardens surrounding homes. Spring is the best season for visiting private gardens: some home owners open their gardens then to raise money for charities and causes. The Open Garden scheme is ending, unfortunately, so there's no single... More

Melbourne has so many beautiful gardens it's hard to know where to start, but regardless of your starting point, the last will be just as beautiful as the first.

Melbourne has some great gardens and the closest one to Jasper Hotel was Carlton Gardens - great to sit and have bit of lunch . my friend checked out the Exhibition centre and parts of the Melbourne Museum. Have walked these parks few times in my various visits to Melbourne. good distraction from the city hub around

Melbourne is lucky to have gardens at all four corners of the central business district. Each has their own character and unique features to discover. Flagstaff gardens in the west was once a cemetery for the first settlers, guided into the city by the flagpole on the small mound that was here. Carlton Gardens to the north is Heritage Listed...
