Melbourne is justifiably known for its many lush gardens. They are integral to all parts of the city and provide fabulous relaxation points for all.

My husband and I spent the day looking around the gardens and they were all so beautiful! Very well preserved and a must see if you have a spare day/afternoon.

I love Melbourne's gardens and parks. They are all around - north, south, east and west and all within walking distance of the very centre of town. I particularly love the treasury gardens and the exhibition gardens. These are truly magnificent. But you can walk across Flinders bridge to the large gardens with the flower clock and the war memorial... More

Melbourne's gardens give the people of the city a great deal of pleasure. While trips to the Botanic Gardens may be infrequent, it's good to know it's there and visitors love them. Other gardens, such as Flagstaff Garden s and Treasury Gardens give relief from the grey monotony of the City. I often take a shortcut through the gardens, it... More

Beyond the Treasury gardens, Botanic Gardens and Flagstaff gardens, most corners of Melbourne have beautiful shrubs and fauna planted. Come spring and summer, the flowers blossoms. The only downside are those who are sensitive to hay fever and fine pollens. Nonetheless with the temperature at... More

Spectacular display of flowers ("poor man's orchids") in glass house. So peaceful to walk through park lined with majestic trees.

We had the pleasure of exploring the Treasury Gardens, the Botanic Gardens, Flagstaff Gardens and other little gardens scattered throughout the city area. Melbourne is lucky to have all these close to the city. They were all well maintained and clean. Well worth a visit to find a relaxing and welcoming oasis in the city.
