Well trodden it may be, but... It can be done in a day, as we did with a little help from our friends - starting at 6 from Brighton, breakfast in the Lorne surf club at 8 (if the chef is up!), coffee at Apollo Bay, packed lunch on the go in Otway National Park among the Koalas, get to... More

Good views, lots of nice beack towns down that way. The road itself is a tad dangerous if your a bad driver

A must see for anyone who has a few spare days holidaying in Victoria. If you have the time, spend a night at Warrnambool- which is a major town at the end of the Great Ocean Road and visit Port Fairy.

Great road to travel just by the sea, not a great drive for those who suffer from car sickness though. Fabulous views of both sea and hills. A beautiful part of Australia.

This is a very good road trip along a very scenic part of the Australian coastline. There are so many different established viewing points along the way with some of the main ones being 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge and the Arch. It is a relaxing drive along a very picturesque road passing through country side and meandering... More

Driving, watching the beach, watching the road, stopping by for a snack, driving again, more driving, Apollo Bay, Apostles. That's basically the trip in a nutshell. It is more fun to be a passenger, because the Great Ocean Road itself is not that great to drive, being winding and narrow. The views and the food are great but honestly, I... More

This part of Australia is the most scenic and is very beautiful particularly the 12 Apostles, London Bridge and the Graggs - worth a visit if you are in the area!

Sometimes you don't take the time to appreciate what your own state has to offer, we had a wonderful weekend, Lorne was beautiful, drinks at the pier watching the views, Mantra had beautiful accommodation. it was a perfect weekend.

The highlight of my Melbourne trip is the one day GOR tour, great autumn day with clear skies and calm seas. Very awed by the London Bridge and of course the 12 Apostles, the helicopter ride is expensive (A$95 for about 10 minutes) but I highly recommend it as the view from above is even better. If I have the... More
