Our first store to open in Melbourne back in the 1960s, 26 Collins Street...

Our first store to open in Melbourne back in the 1960s, 26 Collins Street is located at the top end of town otherwise known as ‘The Paris End’. The store has a design element of a Paris boutique and is very popular with corporate Melbourne. Our team often provide chocolates to nearby 5-star hotels including the famous Windsor, and also to the parliamentarians from just around the corner in Spring Street.

The selection of chocolate if numerous. The chocolate is excellent. The Collins street store is always busy. Staff friendly. After your purchase you are offered a free chocolate. A nice touch. Quality shopping experience.

I love the chocolate in all Haighs stores. My favourite in the milk chocolate speckles. Also love getting a free sample with every purchase.

Locals as well as visitors are always in for a treat when they go in and buy some chocolate from Haigs. It is soooo good. Yes, you do pay more, but it is oh so worth it. Plus, they offer you a little sample when you make your purchase and send you on your way. This is a lovely shop,... More

As soon as you walk in you know it will be pricey but hey we all deserve a treat every now and then! If you're from interstate let the staff know and they'll give you a better bag for your purchases to help avoid melting on the way home. Great service.

I would always buy the boxes of assorted creams for my parents as gifts and the boxes used to be around $25-$27 for 16 chocolates which is pricey but tolerable for quality chocolate. I went in today and since they've re-packaged the assorted creams to much smaller boxes for the same price, I got 16 loose assorted creams and it... More

Chocolate is delicious! The atmosphere of Haigh's in the The Block arcade is very "Melbourne". Gorgeous historical arcade with stunning mosaic floor, boutique stores, a funky laneway full of cafes off to the side, surrounded by bustling Elizabeth and Collins St, topped off with delicious chocolate! Staff are always friendly, and who can say "no" to free samples??!

Haigh's Chocolate on Collins is a beautiful store in the Block Arcade and worth a visit if you are in the city. They have a massive selection of products in store from bars of chocolate to specialty boxes In life you get what you pay for when it comes to quality chocolate so it is definitely on the pricier side.

Premium chocolates but a must visit while in Melbourne. Here you can try chocolates and buy assorted gifts. They are premium chocolates but great for a treat. Located in Melbourne CBD a must for any chocolate lover! Below is a picture of their bear mascot

This is a chocolate lovers heaven. My daughter is the ultimate chocoholic so we stopped in to buy her some treats. Could not go past the giant frogs. So we bought 3. The variety of chocolates, and the lovely man offering us a tasting of sensational raspberry chocolate, are fabulous. Plenty of chocolate shops around the traps but Haigh's is... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
