Absolutely overwhelming experience! Superb performance of Rachmaninov & Tchaikovsky at this massive, open venue. On a super sunny day, the best to watch sunset and music symbioze together. Wonderful, got free tickets from the University of Melbourne. Promotion of art in Melbourne is on the grand scale! Thumbs up.

Attended MSO x Jeff Mills + Derrick May and the sound was phenomenal. Venue is in perfect location - within walking distance from the city with easy alternatives to public transportation. A great place to hangout with family and friends on a sunny day.

Obviously this venue's primary function is to host shows and there were none on when we went, but we still enjoyed ourselves. It's nice to see a famous venue you've seen on TV in person, and you can get up on the stage which is fun.

Sidney Myers (Sidney with a "i" not a "y") family started a store in country Victoria after immigrating from Imperial Russia in the 19th century. Later opening Myer Department stores in Melbourne CBD and other parts of Greater Melbourne. Myer, along with David Jones, are the two major department stores in Melbourne. Awesome venue for many Melbourne events. Grab a piece of grass. Get to events early & soak up the atmosphere. Plenty of amenities. Can sometimes be a bit tricky to park so perhaps think about public transport...

This really is a very good venue, but having just seen Florence and the Machine here, the acoustics were pretty crap, it simple was not loud enough. To be fair i'm not sure if this is a venue condition or the band, but something for them to watch out for... i'm middle aged, but bands should be LOUD. Florence was amazingly... More

Easy to spend all day here as the area is peaceful and serene when there isn't a function on. It is set out well. I'd come again

This treasured Victorian icon has been the host of music and theatre performances, including ballets, operas, cinema, festivals, carols by candlelight and even ice skating. The Bowl with its tent like structure was designed to bring the music to the people of Melbourne. After walking through the lush gardens of the Kings Domain, the aerodynamic features of this bird like... More
