The plants are beautiful, hugely varied, and all labelled. They are set into their various national or botanical groupings, and the sign posts around the park could not be clearer. Anyone with any interest in plants will be delighted with this attraction.

The beauty of nature can never be expounded upon with the right words. The garden displays nature at it best. To be surrounded by so much breathe taking beauty all at once is awesome.

Walked from Richmond to South Wharf, through this beautiful sanctuary for the first time. Elevated views, ornamental lakes, heritage buildings, and commemorative trees planted by royals of yesteryear. What a beautiful resource for the city of Melbourne.

A beautiful place to walk around and explore. Simply gorgeous and free to explore. Lots of places to sit and eat lunch or enjoy a cup of coffee and a book. One of my favorite places in Melbourne!

I come here on a weekly basis. It's safe, full of people wanting to run, train and just love the gardens in general. The are water stops along the way, and there are plenty of beginner, average and advanced runners to encourage you. All in all... If you get the time. Corn down and run!

If you like central park in NYC, you will like it. But not much going on in June (winter), it was really quite and peaceful. If you have extra time in Melbourne, you can relax and have a picnic there.

Beautiful gardens, maintained wonderfully. Would be a lovely place for a picnic. Cafe is nice with good coffee and fresh sandwiches, ciabattas etc. Boat trips look relaxing, especially late afternoon. Lots to see and you could easily spend a whole day here, definitely worth a visit whilst in the area. You can see some gorgeous species of bird too if... More
