My fiance and I spent about 2 hours strolling through the park. It was very quiet and peaceful and provided some great scenery for an afternoon walk.

Good variety of plants and nicely set out. Quite big so wear comfy walking shoes. The grounds are beautifully maintained. there is a little shallow pool area for little ones which is a nice touch for a hot day.

Did this on my first day in Melbourne, and what a way to fight off jetlag. The gardens are beautiful, and the other visitors respected the peace and quiet as much as I did. So many different plant and bird varieties, was lovely.

As a pedestrian, I found the place to be confusing and immense. The map is deceiving, it makes things look closer together than they are. I must have walked for the better part of two hours and didn't get to anything but the Queen Victorian garden and the shrine of remembrance.

when you take a stroll alongside the Yarra river from the city centre you soon come to a beautiful botanic garden which is really worth a visit.

The most beautiful park in all of Melbourne. I love it any time of the year. Have coffee or lunch at Tea Roms by Ornamental Lake and you may be lucky to hear a harp.
