We are members, and find that the constant queues and the mandatory photo session (with no way to enter the aquarium without passing through the camera area, with it's inevitable queues) just stink of money making. I wouldn't recommend the membership. It isn't a relaxing experience to visit here, unlike the zoo, or scienceworks.

We recently had the opportunity to visit the Sea Life aquarium in Melbourne with some friends from overseas. From the point of view as a "local" I was delighted and amazed by the complexity of sea life we have here in Australia. The comments from our visitors were much the same with a lot of time spent watching the Crocodiles... More

Great place to visit especially for families and toddlers. Be startled by the one of the worlds largest saltwater crocodiles and amused by the gorgeous and comical penguins just to name a few attractions. Worth a visit in particular if you have never been.

The greatest aquarium i have ever been to! Everything is flipping gigantic! These enourmo rays that are bigger than a person are just cruising over your head like its no big deal! And the crocodile! Ridiculous. Some fish are so jazzy id never seen anything like it before!! And all the little fishies were straight out of finding nemo. God... More

I was initially a little put off by the price but came away happy that I had visited the aquarium. It was both entertaining and informative. It was a little noisy as it was school holidays and crowded with children but it was a great experience.

Super fun day out for my toddler - he loved looking in the little portholes and walking through the little 'nemo' tunnel. He was rapt with the biggest aquarium downstairs, in fact i've rarely seen him so still and enthralled! Thank you!

Great activity, more so geared up for young kiddies. We got through it pretty fast, I wouldn't go back, but a treat if you have young ones. We did the "feed seahorse" tour... That was just tipping stuff in there tanks, a little overrated?? Loved the Penguins

Book on line and print out your tickets, it saves the hour long queue otherwise! I really enjoyed this though a bit pricey. The kids had log books to fill out and halfway round they get to colour in fish, get them scanned an see their creations swimming in a virtual aquarium!

While a little bit pricey, Sea Life Aquarium was awesome and exceeded our families' expectations. The staff were friendly, the facility was clean and well maintained, and the exhibits were interesting and informative. There was a good variety of things to keep the children amused, such as crawling under tunnels and poking their head up in a glass dome within... More

At $38 for an adult ticket, the aquarium is quite expensive. I spent a couple of hours walking around and the penguin exhibit was the best I have ever seen, it made the entry price worthwhile.
