Turned up to the aquarium on a wet Saturday with a toddler in tow, and I think every other parent had the same idea. The queue stretched outside the door, and the staff to their credit did a good job of getting everyone through as quickly as possible. The aquarium itself is well laid out, and has a range of... Took the grand kids as a school holiday outing. Loved the aquarium displays, which were varied, well thought out and informative, providing good interactive activities for children. The talks were well presented and creative. What was very disappointing was the hold ups in the entrance queue for photo taking - this was presented by staff as "mandatory" for customers ,... More

Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium is very easy to find, it's below the bridge that the Flinders train runs across, but get there early or book tickets online as there was a big queue when I went (but I walked straight in with my ticket ) It's as good as an aquarium I've been too, you can swim with sharks there... In Melbourne for a visit, We visited the aquarium, very nice and 10 out of 10 for the exhibits the penguins are great. Very good learning curve for children and adults alike. My only complaint is the price. I think it is a little over priced, we got 20% off which was good so look for discounts in tourist magazines.

I really enjoyed my visit to Melbourne Aquarium. It has a great range of species and the biggest Rays I've ever seen!! The tanks are beautifully laid out and lovely and clean. Plenty of great photo opportunities too!

Great afternoon, not cheap, but really interesting and lots to see. Our teenage boys loved the huge crocodile and walking through the tunnel with fish swimming around and above you. Another interesting part was the touching of a sea star and various empty egg shells.

The best part of the multi-level meandering Melbourne Aquarium was the acrylic tunnel that winds through a tank filled with enormous stingrays and sharks. Great attraction for kids as lots of displays are geared towards children.

A bit pricey ($96) for a family but when you think of the cost of ongoing care of the sea life and maintenance of the facilities you can't really begrudge the cost. While the kids really enjoy it, I feel a bit closed in and like you are being corralled around darkened chambers. The crocodile was huge and love how... More
