Great place for kids only 20 minutes from the city centre.

Although this place is hard to find, it's well worth it. I went with a couple and their kids, and it was a lovely day had by all. You literally feel like you're in the country but... read more

Although this place is hard to find, it's well worth it. I went with a couple and their kids, and it was a lovely day had by all. You literally feel like you're in the country but you're only 20 minutes from the CBD. The kids loved it because they got to pet all the animals, and it was very... More

We attended a wedding here and thought the grounds were beautiful. Great setting. The food was quirky and tasty and much was served in Maison jars. Due to the large crowd, this wasn't a sit down menu but grazing food over many hours. Great spot for music, dancing, playing skittles and bocce.

I know Collingwood Children's Farm very well and would say that it is one of the best farms in Melbourne. Kids can get up close with the animals in a beautiful environment, just minutes from the CBD. There are cows, chickens, goats, horse, guinea pigs, etc. the staff are all very knowledgable and friendly. There is a cafe here but... More

It has a good range of animals for the kids to look at. They can get amoungst the animals and give them pats and feed them. My son's favourite area is the guinea pigs, as you can put them on your lap and hold them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. But - i have to say - the... More

Real working farm, so don't expect cornered animals ready to patting! However it was good for the little one to experience what she's neem reading in books LIVE. We were free to roam to most corners and the cafe seems popular with local cyclist and visitors alike.

We took our little one out for the day. It was just perfect for her. Chasing the peacocks and silkie hens.. guinea pigs and doneky.. We finished up at the convent, trying the sour dough bread. We enjoyed every minute of the day.

This remnant of a continuously working farm which once supported the adjacent Anbotsford Convent offers a unique country experience despite being just 4km from the Melbourne GPO. Heritage animals, community vegetable gardens and Landcare native vegetation on the river banks make this a favorite return destination. I go to the regular farmers markets but many others make the farm a... More

This petting zoo is charming, it is a bit expensive, but it's great to be able to interact with so many animals so close to the city. I do wish they had a few more small animals such as rabbits or guinea pigs - but all in all a worthwhile day out.

The Farm also hosts a market on the 2nd Saturday of the month. $2 entry per person and lots of organic sellers. Great morning.
