Mac was very friendly starting from booking until drop off. We spent enough time at every location. He gave good suggestion to choose the best seat for Penguin parade. More importantly as compared to many other big travel buses, we were the last one to leave from Philip island meaning we spent much more time with cute little penguins.

Took the tour to Phillip Island to see the little penguins. Our guide was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. Got to know about the history of Melbourne and Gippsland. Spotted plenty of wallabies and penguins in the wild too.

Excellent tour and very personal service. Rob our driver was very knowledgable about the area - basically provided an excellent guided tour from the moment we left Melbourne pointing out areas of interest between the city and Phillip Island. Prior to the penguin parade had plenty of opportunity to take in beauty of the island, its fauna and flora. Saw... More

Hi Erica. Thanks so much for reviewing your Wild Island Tour here. Rob and I are both delighted to hear you had an enjoyable tour with us. We appreciate the feedback on the lunch and dinner options and we agree lunch is probably the better option for a main meal. We will keep this in mind when other travellers are... More

I went on the Wild Island Tour with Mac when I was visiting Melbourne. This felt like less of a tour and more like Mac taking a group of friends to his favorite spots around the island! I really enjoyed such a small and personal experience, and so glad that I chose the Wild Island option – there are so... More

It was a pleasure to be able to show you the best of Philip Island away from all the usual tourist stops. Thanks for travelling with us and sharing your experience here! Kind... More

Having limited time in Melbourne I wanted too make the most of it. This tour seemed like the perfect way to get to the penguin parade without all the extra stops and it was just that. I really appreciated the small group size and as an added benefit the large number of solo travelers which was a pleasant surprise. Our... More

Our tour is for 2 adults, 1child on a direct route to 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and Port Campbell. It was a day after the 44 degree scorcher in Melbourne. There were supposed to be 10-11 people in the van as I refuse to book with a busload of people that needs to be picked up one by one... More

Hi. Thanks so much for your wonderful review for your 12 Apostles Express Tour. It's great to hear people appreciate that we have given our best service and operated the tour with only one booking. I'm always reluctant to cancel any tour and I have only done that a handful of times since we started in 2011. It doesn't always... More

The Little Penguin Bus is the only way to go. Our group was small, only three couples, so lots of space in the bus. Probably not the norm but they did agree to pick us up at our hotel. Tour guide Bruce was fantastic and he took good care of us. He even arranged for the "little buggy" to take... More

Hi Bonanza. Thanks for reviewing your tour here, Bruce and I are delighted to know you had an enjoyable experience. While we do prefer to keep to our single central pickup point, it really is easier for everyone, we are always happy to help our more "senior" customers with mobility issues. It was our pleasure to meet you and look... More

The Little Penguin Bus was the perfect way to see the little penguins. The bus picked us up (right on time) at 4:30pm, drove us through Melbourne pointing out the sights, and then on to Phillips Island. Once on the island, we drove around and saw native wildlife as well as beautiful coastline. Then the drive gave us tips to... More

We had a great time, the tour guide and driver David was very informative. Had a fantastic time seeing the penguins up close, we had a longer visit than other tour groups and was happy to pay a bit more. Highly recommended.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
