It was a great experience witnessing the little penguins emerge from sea and then traveling back to their homes! :) we managed to get real upclose to the penguins at the boardwalk and our guide, Rob also gave us clear instructions on where are the best places to view these little penguins. On top of that, I thought that it... More

The Little Penguin Bus is actually a cosy mini-van which ensures the tour group is not of a very large size. Pickup is from the Rendezvous Hotel, which is quite easy to find in the CBD area. It's also within the Free Tram Zone. We were dropped off at our own hotel in the CBD area after the trip. Fantastic... More

I chose to go on a Wild Island tour and I was so lucky I was the only one that day! So I had a private tour with Rob. He picked me up from Randezvous hotel on time and we started our tour. First we stopped at San Remo, had a little nature walk, saw a stingray, then had a... More

We were picked up in Melbourne at 4:30 from the lobby at the Rendezvous Hotel by our cheerful guide, Rob. We recognized him because he was wearing a stuffed Penguin on his hat! It was a long drive, but interesting. They leave plenty of time, in case of traffic problems, so we got to Phillip Island early and Rob showed... More

Hi Carolyn. Thanks so much for the review. Just to clarify for other TA readers the departure time and return time varies throughout the year. The penguins always appear just after sunset and that's a 4 hour change through the year here! Carolyn travelled in January which is our latest departure and therefore also our latest return time. The departure... More

I booked the wild island tour, which is a rather new tour according to Rob our tour guide, and also penguin plus. We covered many areas including the various trails around the island, and I'd say 90% of the time it was just our little tour group of 4 ppl + Rob. Extra areas away from tourists included the trails,... More

Hi Yu Da. Thanks for the review of your Wild Island Tour. It's great to hear people are enjoying a very different day tour to the island, different to all the others on offer. I decided there had to be people that would like to get right away from all the usual tourist attractions and enjoy the "real" Phillip Island.... More

My partner and I joined Mac on a trip to the penguin parade. What a fantastic experience and Mac had lots of helpful information on how to get the best view of the little fellas. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne, it gave us great memories of our trip.

Who can’t love a tour that starts at 3:30 pm vs. 8 a.m. We found our way over to Rendevous Hotel and two Little Penguin Buses showed up a little after 3pm. There was 11 on the bus I was on and 10 on the other. I believe they may do the split based on which tour you have selected.... More

Great service. From the pick up at the hotel to the drop off at our accommodation this trip was fantastic. The commentary on route, the little extra's to see Australia's wildlife in it's natural environment made this an experience to remember. The penguins were the icing on the cake. One minor improvement I would suggest would be a better stop... More

Hi John. Thanks very much for the excellent and prompt review! I really appreciate hearing you had such an enjoyable tour with David, and he will appreciate the feedback too. Regarding the halfway stop on the way to the island I would love to stop at one of the farm shops, I agree they would be more attractive and interesting.... More

The experience was definitely most enjoyable and one of the highlights of me and my friend's Melbourne trip. Mac was informative and as a previous reviewer HKchillin stated, took the time to talk about the development of the island and pointed out the wildlife on our way to the penguin area. This is what we saw as an important part... More
