The Icehouse has 2 beautiful rinks for ice skating. One is primarily for the public, the other for sports (ice hockey, speed skating etc). In general the public ice skating is good. On school holidays it can get very busy. Entrance is a bit expensive. Don't forget to take socks if you're hiring!

3 stars because inside is not very well looked after, was no beginner lesson available to my son or me, on our first time skating, Cafe is terrible and so, so expensive. Skates seem bad quality or badly maintained with both of us in pain, as they tipped to the side. Not sure if we will return.

Took our kids for an ice skate, this was also my first experience, it is a great facility and we were well looked after by the staff. it was a little costly, but would still come back, though maybe not as often with the cost. We look forward to our next visit

We visited the ice rink for the first time today with our 7 year old daughter. We asked about the free lesson at the entrance, and when collecting our skates, and were told that it would happen at 2pm, and there would be an announcement. There was no announcement, but we figured we would wait with the other parents over... More

I was leading a school excursion here and the staff were just fantastic. They allowed us to use the empty ice hockey rink for our lesson before allowing us onto the main rink.

Went with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. We all had a ball. There are plastic seals for the little ones to make it easier for them (not bad for the older ones too). The agternoon session in the middle of the week was not very crouded so we could skate without needing to look out for speed skaters. Ice hockey... More

I visited the Medibank Icehouse on Saturday with a group of 5 friends; it was the first time ice-skating for 3 of us, and it was an amazing experience! Despite the fact that I fell 4 times… The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would like to specifically mention Daniel who was very friendly and helped with getting... More

Great place to spend with the kids. They have a 15 min free lesson that happens a few times a day, this was very helpful as it gave the basics on how to skate. So when we arrived and before the lesson we where rail huggers but after the lesson we had enough confidence to actually let go and skate.... More

An amazing experience spoiled by simply too many people enjoying the same thing. The newbies on the outside holding the rail, and the professionals figure skating in the middle. It left only a small track for everybody else. Be prepared to be bumped into.

I went on the tram here and I thought skating is easy but my mother said its hard but mum was right and some other friends said they thought it was hard. I was glad to go out to tea. To hard.
