A must for Melbournians and visitors. Gives a great local history as well as the usual museum treats. You can spend most of the day here very easily

The staff were friendly, the guards too. The info was adequate for foreign tourist thus you do not need a guide. Brochures and pamphlets available too.
Was a bit surprised that we needed to pay for entry as museums in other parts of the country are free! Our kids enjoyed most of the exhibits although found parts of the museum scary.
