A must for Melbournians and visitors. Gives a great local history as well as the usual museum treats. You can spend most of the day here very easily

This museum is always good for at least a half day or longer, ideal for children. The current exhibition is Treasures of Afghanistan, and the price of the ticket to that particular exhibition also gives you free entry to the rest of this very large museum. Treasures of Afghanistan is an absolute must - it's a fascinating insight into this... More

There's always something worth seeing - the permanent exhibition is first rate and there are often seriously good temporary exhibitions, check the website ... http://museumvictoria.com.au/
