This is a very easy and comprehensive way to get around Melbourne, specially if it's your first time, the bus goes around the city you have a map of the route, a recorded guide explanation and the drivers have a microphone and are always making further remarks, they stop at 13 important attractions, you can purchase your tickets either at... The tourist tram is easy to use. It is hop on hop off. There is a commentary and friendly driver. There were also very helpful conductors. The only draw back is it's popularity.

The bus travelled to 13 spots near CBD area such as Queen Victoria Market, Royal Botanic Garden, etc. and you can hop on hop off from 13 spots. The bus came around every 30 minutes but the last bus was stopped around 4-5 pm.

While does give you a good look at the city the frequency of the service at every 30 minutes can be frustrating. We missed the bus by about 30 seconds and even though it would be obvious to the driver he would not wait. Then when we were on the bus twice we stopped for up to 8 minutes because... More

Recently caught the Melbourne Shuttle Bus because the weather wasn't good enough to cycle everywhere. For $5 you get to ride around for 1.5 hours getting on and off as often as you like at 13 stops along the route. Buses go past each point every half hour so you have 30 mins at each stop if you want. There... More

An all day hop on hop off bus for 5aud sounded to be too good to be truth but in fact it was very impressive.. The drivers were fun and the bus goes all over Melbourne CBD pointing out the main museums and attractions, all the big cities in the world should follow this example!

Wow, what a find. This bus does a circuit around the inner city that takes about an hour and a half in clean heated busses, with automated commentary, as well as anecdotes added by the very friendly drivers. Also at just $5 all day this is a great hop on and hop off experience that circulates every half hour. Absolutely... More

We hopped on this bus on a rainy day to fill in time before we had to go to the airport. We wished we would have done it on our first day. The ticket is 5 dollars and it takes you around the CBD and southbank - sports grounds, chinatown, little italy town, entertainment sector, gardens, museums, etc - and... More

Whilst the bus was later than we had expected it, at $5 each it was great value. You can stay on for the whole loop or use it hop-on hop-off style. The commentary is good, a combination of pre-recorded and the driver. In our case that was great because he tailored the information, including changes that could be expected due... More
