We got here early on a Thursday evening just after 5pm, just stumbled upon it and boy am I happy we did. $5 drinks to start with and not the cheap crap either, the good beer and spirits. It seemed quiet to start with but as the night got later it just morphed into this brilliant club. We left early... More

Stumble on this place on the way to our hotel after a afternoon of shopping. Needing a drink we decide to rest ourselves here. Delightful surprise decor with secluded booths. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was 4pm on a Friday so we beat the work crowd in and had an opportunity to people watch as we rested in... More

We were just looking for a couple drinks while we were waiting for our restaurant and when we turned up we were treated atrociously the place was almost empty but the hostess insisted we sit in the corner because everything else was reserved the antipasto platter was pretty good and the chief quite hospitable. The girl on the door just... More

Great venue for the husband and I to have some anniversary drinks at the end of the night. Free entry. Reasonably priced drinks. Great music.

THURSDAY NIGHT is ladies night; as a lady you'll get free drink cards on arrival. Beware: ladies night brings throngs of 'eligible' bachelors. It's a meat market, basically. FRIDAY NIGHT If you like RnB, a little pop (TAYLOR SWIFT!) and a mixed clientele, Friday is for you. Free entry. If you've got any drink cards left from Thursday, you can... More

Nice venue and decor the drink prices were okay. Came here for a pre dinner drink before going out to see a show. Staff were friendly enough. Get in early or else you can end up outside

An amazing place but if you have a big group and need your space, then you might have to shell out a huge amount to confirm your space. However you get to drink in the same amount. Great DJs and an excellent place to experience Melbourne nightlife.

Been here twice and both times Spice Market has given a good vibe. I've never had to endure waiting in the long queues, but its been a pleasant experience. Ordering a drink was a slight nightmare with minimal bartenders during both nights. I'd recommend they put on more, but all bartenders were really apologetic and nice.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
