Went on The Great Ocean Drive with Escape Discovery. The tour guide was Chris nickname Dig. Very thoughtful and accommodative. The tour was informative. Tour group is kept small, total of 11 and is on a mini bus instead of coach.

My wife and I went on the Great Ocean Road in November 2015. Overall, this was an excellent tour. Our guide was "Digger" who did a marvelous job even though it was the first time he conducted the tour all by himself (He said he was partnered with the boss in all the past tours). He was supposed to pick... More

I have recently returned from a trip to Australia and during my stay in Melbourne I took both the Philip Island and Great Ocean Road trip with Escape Discovery. From start to finish I can say both days were easily two of the best days during my 3 weeks of travel. Paul was our guide on both tours and he... More

They tried to keep in touch with me to update my booking conditions, so I didn't have to worry about the trip at all. They got the pick up place on time. The coach was comfortable and it was perfect for the small group one day tour. The guid was great!!: knowledgeable, friendly, taking care of us.... He took out... More

On a scale of awesomeness, this tour would be exceed the upper limits of excellence! My daughter and I had a most memorable day joining a group for the Great Ocean Road trip. Our driver, 'Digger' was amazing with his knowledgeable commentaries, considerate service and great Aussie humour. We were picked up punctually from our hotel and dropped back in... More

I have always wanted to explore the Twelve Apostles on Ocean Road. Paul , the tour guide, matched my expectations and more, with a full day bus tour. We left the hotel in Melbourne, then had morning tea on the way with traditional biscuits such as Anzacs, Lamingtons and Tim Tams. Then we headed to view koalas at eye level... More

Having a few extra days in Melbourne following a business trip I booked myself on two trips with this company. One to the Philip island to see the little penguins and the other along the Ocean road. I cannot recommend this company more highly. The attention to detail and focus on giving a full on Aussie experience was first class.... More

We booked up 2 tours with Escape Discover Adventures at some point in November. Unfortunately our tour of Philip Island had to be cancelled due to staff leaving, but we were notified with apologies by email a week or so in advance of this and opted to sort out our own tour instead - we hired a smart car and... My wife and I took two different tours from Escape Discovery Adventures - the Phillip Island and the Great Ocean Road. Both tours were very well planned, especially in terms of time spent for each attraction. Both guides (Digga and Paul) were outstanding - they are very friendly and very well prepared and organized (we got a lot of information... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
