I visit Fawkner park every second day for a walk around the loop, or to bike through on the path. We visited today for a BBQ with a few colleagues. Easy to find, rubbish bins, picnic tables and toilets close by. Lots of shelter, and beautiful grass to sit on. Lovely for a picnic, quick lunch break, walk or just... More

Its nothing short of special to have this park located where it is, the vast landscape just stretches on and on and is perfect to break up the concrete jungle surrounding it. Perfect for a casual stroll or walking the pets on most days but try to avoid weekends as some sport functions are usually on and tend to ruin... More

As a local, this has always been my favourite park. It's in a really nice part of the city (South Yarra). What I love about it is there is plenty of parking along each side of the park. It's so big but the way it's designed is that you can see from one side to the other. This is helpful... More

Fawkner Park is opposite my apartment building so I walk around there quite often. It's a really great park, often with sport events, joggers, dog walkers and the like. Safe and friendly, always well maintained.

Massive expanse of green gently sloping from Toorak Rd south to the Alfred Hospital Commercial rd Precinct. Good for walking the dog.

I came across this park by accident. And it's a nice bit of greenery in between some majorish looking roadways but really it's a park. There is kid's play equipment if you need reprieve from your kids craziness, and if you happen to be in the area. But aside from that, another park.

This is a hard-working, mixed-use park. As the photo shows, it offers great expanses of mown grass, so is loved by local people exercising their dogs. Cyclists and runners are frequent users too. There are established trees (at risk during droughts) and broad walkways and sporting facilities (including tennis courts). Blocks of apartments look onto and across the park, and... More

As it's our local park, I often go to this place for walking and take a rest in nature. It's a vast park with lots of green space, good place to play tennis or football as well.
