I also noticed that the venue is very close to a rail station...definitely recommend for a night out with the family! Essendon stuffed North Melbourne lol...

Came here to watch the Charity All Stars vs Victoria Game Tuesday (July 1st) night. The venue was nice and clean and has a roof that closes to avoid rain and wind. I was expecting the place to be colder and dressed accordingly but soon realized that it was rather warm (~16C / 60F) inside and that Iayered up way... More

We attended an AFL game in the evening so the roof was closed. We thought it would still be very cold inside but the temperature was perfect. The coats and blankets we took didn't need to be used at all. We were on level 1 so were close to the action and had a great view. I think level 2... More

We watched an evening match on the Easter weekend. As we had not booked, we were only able to get seats at the very top row. The venue has great atmosphere and the roar of the supporters adds to the game. Unfortunately we had no binoculars so it was more like watching ants playing and had to look at the... More

It is possible to do behind the scenes tours of Docklands (Etihad) Stadium. They run weekdays at 11am, 1pm & 3pm and cost $15 for adults, $8 for kids. You get to visit commentary boxes, the media centre, players changing rooms even walk out to the perimeter of the pitch. Standing beside the pitch you appreciate how huge the venue... More

I have been here a couple of times, it is huge! I would suggest not to be seated right up the top because everything below looks like an ant! we went up in the nose bleed seats once and it wasn't the best haha but the experience was good.

This is a great way to experience the footy rather than sitting watching it in front of the TV. Ensure you are seeing at least one popular Melbourne team as that improves the atmosphere of being at the footy with a big crowd. I like to sit towards the middle as opposed to the ends, but there is hardly a... More

Enjoy games watching collingwood here. Parking is over priced to beyond a joke but the grounds are nice. Its a nightmare to get out of carpark after game too

Another footy match to see and along with the throngs of humanity we made it inside only to be told we needed to walk up 4 steep ramps to get to the nosebleed deck, once up there we had to literally walk up the steepest steps to find a seat. No way was I going to leave for anything. The... More

For footy or any game, really. We had a top tier seat but no problem, steep angle helped us feel close to the action. Lots of facilities and bars. And the hawks beat the the bombers too so we had a great night !!
