After a long winding drive on the great ocean road from Melbourne, the Apostles were a sight to behold. The visitor area and paths are wide and well laid out, and built with the disabled in the mind (a nice touch). I would recommend this attraction to anyone to visit, it's worth the mission to get there.

One of the coolest places ever but you have to time it just right to take photos. There was a nice amount of people there but for the most part everyone spaced out well for pictures. The coastline was breath taking and peaceful.

Glad we arrived early, 9am.. Was already getting busy but at this time was still ok.. You have to park other side of highway & walk back under the road to reach the viewing platforms.. On first sight it is amazing seeing these structures in the ocean.. Stayed for about half hour an that was long enough.. So glad I... More

My daughter and I joined the Melbourne Australian tour on 18-11-14. The tour guide, Matthew drove us to the Great ocean Road tour. Along the way, visited lighthouse, fed the parrot, be our camera man at the starting point, brought us to a complimentary nice lunch, seen the awesome Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge, lastly enjoyed a half way... The 12 (now 8) Apostles are supposed to be one of the best places to see on the Great Ocean Road. Frankly we were disappointed. It is a very commercial site with loads of cars, buses and tourists. There are good viewing places but with so many people around the opportunities for a good photo are limited. It may be... More

One of the most unique dramatic coastlines you will ever see and certainly worth setting aside a day to take the drive from Melbourne. Two suggestions: First, take the short helicopter ride to get an amazing bird's eye view (see attached photos) and second, rent a car rather than taking a tour from Melbourne as this will allow sufficient time... We went in 2 cars and had 2 infants. Had a couple of stops and reach there at sunset. It was freezing and cold with strong winds so some of the family members did not have a good view of the place. It would be good if we reach earlier. Nonetheless, the view is great.

Great trip from Melbourne, you need some sun though...... Try to walk close to the ridges, big waves, and feel the breeze, such a unique experience

Not to be missed, great photo opportunities and magnificent views. Even better early in the morning or at dusk.
