You could just a take a day tour out of melbourne and sit on a coach to see the great ocean road. Personally is a must go attraction if you are in victoria, you love outdoor and nature and a photography buff~~ the highlight ofcourse is the 12 apostles and the loch ard gorge. Surprisingly, i do prefer the loch... More

Pros: A great natural place to visit, breath taking ocean views along the trip. Great for short time visit (e.g. 1-2 days), or you can spend more days to visit the village around. Cons: The road is one lane only so it's a bit narrow. Keep up your attention when driving. Not much other stuff you can do apart from... More

Leaving Central Melbourne for a significant drive in inclement weather didn't project a great experience. Despite the length of the journey, it was amazing!! Lots of people all over the place and cameras flashing and videos recording. An experience not to missed.

The winding Great Ocean Road hugs the coast, running beside a string of surf beaches to reach the seaside holiday resort of Apollo Bay. Then it continues to the limestone rock formations known as the Twelve Apostles.

The Great Ocean Road drive was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. It is not only a beautiful drive, but you get to see wild kangaroos, koalas and hike through the amazing areas where the Twelve Apostles are. Port Campbell - no need to go past this point. Cute town. We stayed the night here and explored... More

I went to Melbourne in 2007, so that's 7 years ago, and only recently have I decided to write a review on that iconic sight. It's one of the most beautiful scenic places I have been, including Waimea Canyon in Kauai ( hawaiian Islands). The trips starts in Melbourne and you head South west along the great Southern Ocean... curve... More

It was my second trip to Great Ocean Road while a first for my husband. Therefor it was necessary that the stops we made are not only the mandatory stops but also new ones that I have not seen. We did the drive in reverse - straight to Warrnambool from Melbourne and slowly making our way back to Melbourne over... More

This was on my bucket list being the biggest war memorial in the world. The road is in need of repair but overall it was a great drive with fantastic views of the water and coast. Plenty of nice little towns to check out on the way.

We visited the Great Ocean Road in December 2013 and to our astonishment it was very cold and windy. We didn't think this was possible in Australia, but although the cold temperatures we had a good time here. Our highlights were 'The Twelve Apostles', 'Loch Ard', and 'London Bridge'. At Loch Ard we spent most of our time. This shipwreck... More
