We had a fantastic day on the Great Ocean Road. Our guide Adrian was brilliant, a credit to AAT King. On paper it may seem like a long day but the tour is very well run with the right amount of stops for the right length of time. Top tip - try and sit on the left handside of the... More

You really need to drive this road in a car yourself. The views are amazing, as is consideration of how the road was made back in the 1930s. I recommend driving east to west, since you get the best views from this side of the road. Also, allow sufficient time. You will inevitably be stuck in queues of traffic at... More

The drive from Melbourne is pretty straightforward, there are plenty of beaches and stops along the way and they are all worth your time. Bells beach is a personal favorite. I don't think you need to book accommodation in advance if you are planning on staying overnight.

This is a really good trip with the tour guide, Chris. I have enjoyed the trip very much. He took us to all the famous views on the Great Ocean Road. He also provided the lunch for us, how sweet it is. I recommend that the new travelers can ask for this tour guide for the first time to Great... More

Spectacular strech of road cut out of the mountain side West of Melbourne on the Southern Coast of Victoria with amazing beaches strung- up like pearls in a necklace for miles on end. We only went as far as the 12 Apostles but the road keeps on going...Hoards of young surfers drive from beach to beach in search of the... More

One of the most memorable experiences of life. Beautiful and serene natural landscapes and beaches alongside the road. Small surf towns on way with great food and cuisines. The drive covers otway national park which is a thick n lush rainforest open for tourists. Also midway towns like Torquay and lorne are worth a break. The most amazing part of... More

Wow, the scenery was awesome even though it was raining. The road became treacherous at times with fallen rocks on the road but well worth the journey. So many different places to stop and take pictures. Stopped at Port Campbell as the road is pretty long so stayed overnight before returning to Torquay. Better journey back as the weather was... Well if there is one road trip that is worth taking then it has to be this. Okay, I can't really compare it to driving overseas, since I have not done all that much, and most of it being in Europe, but this road still pretty much comes near the top of the best roads that I have driven along.... If travelling from Melbourne I would recommend an overnight stay as the distances are long, there are some road works at present, the road is winding in places and you will want to stop often to enjoy the views. I recommend starting from Lorne, making your way to Apollo Bay then to Cape Otway Lighthouse to see koalas in the... More

Nothing can prepare you for the splendid views that await you. Though you need 3-4 days to cover it entirely and enjoy various activities the great attraction has to offer. However, that shouldn't deter you from going if you can spare just a day. Just make sure you leave as early as you can. Then keep going till the sunset... More
