Stunning coastal scenery. Empty beaches, exquisite rainforests, far horizon views, crashing surf: Simply spectacular. If you have any interest at all in driving, scenery or photography it's worth coming to Australia just to take this drive ... When you get to the end don't forget to checkout the delights of Warnambool (great seafarers village reconstruction) and the delightful coastal town... More

Start from Melbourne and head towards Geelong, home of the famous football team. See the house perched at the top of the cliff on the way, then head to Torquay and Lorne. You'll see the famous Bells Beach on the way and it's a delightful drive.

We had an amazing drive, one that will remain in our memory banks forever. The twists and turns of the road opened up many magic views and wonderful surprises. This is a must if you can afford the time, which I would recommend a min of 2 days. The Twelve Apostles were just wonderful and the arrival of the Mutton... More

The views along the Great Ocean Road (we only went as far south as Apollo Bay) are simply amazing. Prior to this vacation the most incredible road I had driven was the Pacific Coast Highway (from San Francisco to Los Angeles), however the Great Ocean Road has all that, and more. I will always remember the views, the beaches and... More

Our trip started at Melbourne. We headef to Torquay where the Great Ocean Road starts. On the first day we tried stopping at every scenic lookout and were blown away be the wonderful coast line. By sun set we arrived in Apollo bay and spend the night there. Unpowered site at a caravan park was $12 per person. A thing... More

Great Ocean Road is one of the amazing places in Australia. It's the place that people who come to Melbourne or Victoria must visit. One of the highlights is The Twelve Apostles which are situated in the Port Campbell. You can take photos from many lookouts or either you can hop in to helicopters to enjoy the beautiful scenery. While Great Ocean Road is a long drive away from city of Melbourne it’s a must-do! The route is a very scenic and you will be tempted to stop at multiple places and take pictures. But even that doesn't prepare you for the majestic 12 apostles (only 8 left now). There are multiple viewing points and scenic walks to explore... More
