The company offered two types of tour: a single day tour and an overnight one which was really pretty attractive. But well like many backpackers I got limited time and budget so I went for the 1st one. It was totally worth it. The pick up was at 0715 and the tour ended at 2100, sounded like a lot of... More

The first visit we came via a day tour and took a helicopter ride. This round we self drove via using the phone GPS. Surprisingly the drive to great ocean road from Melbourne is easy and enjoyable. We did stop over one night at Apollo Bay. We parked the car at the Great Ocean Road visitor center and enjoyed the... More

There is much more to the Great Ocean Road than the 12 Apostles... It is scenic and relaxing. However, don't be fooled into complacency... The road can be narrow and close to the edge. So please drive very carefully, even as you take in the beautiful creation of nature.

This road is very scenic and really sticks to memory. It has been a year since I visited but it still holds a dear memory in my mind. So, peaceful and the ocean makes you feel very small yet large in a way. The natural formations are superb and the serenity is still there at many of the sites regardless... More

The trip itself is wonderful but there is so much diversity along the way. Whether you like driving, sight seeing, viewing the landforms like the Twelve apostles, wining and dining at some amazing restaurants along the way, seeing koalas perched in the trees, there is something for everyone.

The Great Ocean Road drive that began early in the morning and lasted till sunset was a consolidation of holidays that we took in Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne. There is stunning views of highlands, farms, grasslands, sandy coasts, rocky cliffs, wildlife,Mediterranean forests and formations under and above the Southern Ocean. I suggest that if you have limited time in Aussie Great... More

When we last visited The great ocean road we found it to again surpass our expecting. You need to have several hours to explore sufficiently as there is so much to see. One of my favourites is the blue grotto!!!!!! There have been many changes in the last 35yrs but they have not detracted from the experience, the changes have... More

A trip along the Great Ocean Road is always a pleasure, the best part is from about Fairhaven to Apollo Bay, the most breath taking piece is as you keave Lorne. Plenty of great places to stop and see. If you want to see kangaroos in the wild just pop into the Anglesea Golf Course, great food available in all... More

Driving the Great Ocean Road is one of life's must do activities. Driving from west to east probably maximises your opportunities of enjoying the views as a driver because you are on the landward side of the road. You really need to allow 3-4 days to enjoy the whole length of the road and the attractions and villages along the... More

Probably one of the most scenic roads in the world. Take your time to discover all its hidden treasures! It's impossible in one day, I spended 3 days and haven't seen everything yet! When you enter from Melbourne as most people do you'll pass some small towns famous for surfing (ie Torquay), Anglesea golf course (spotting kangoroos), Grey river (spotting... More
