Beautiful, historic area with many period houses and buildings. We had coffee in a wonderful bakery, restaurant in Battery Point and walked around the many streets admiring the view over the River as well as the wonderful houses.

We stayed in Battery Point, ideal proximity to CBD, Excellent views of bridge. Waterfront / boats. Delightful winding roads with views / fascinating architecture. Period properties, quaint shops & excellent food venues. Certainly lived up to expectation having read others comments pre travel - thank you. Tip: Take your camera / walk if possible, there is a lot to take... More

The rooms are very comfy. Access is via a open lift which could be cold in winter. The Hotel is straight around the corner from Salamanca Place and you have a large selection of dining all within walking distance.

An ideal way to envelope ones self in a sense of history is to walk around Battery Point once or several times. Houses radiate a sense of the past and reflect different styles and socio economic levels. Views of the Derwent are also glimpsed. Battery park is a must. Look out for Boer War era terraces such as "Mafeking" and... More

Lovely view but similar to other parts of the harbour. It is worth a visit but not the end of the world if you miss it.

Great spot to walk around, take in lunch at the local cafes and look at the architecture. Lots of street photos to take!

Battery Point is a great area of Hobart to wander around and look at the amazing buildings and long views of the Derwent River. You can even see a window in a brick chimney in Mona St a very strange detail indeed worth finding.

We had an enjoyable "fresh" walk along the streets around battery point. Lovely Quaint houses & homely coffee shops adorn the area.
