The most beautiful place to wander, taking in the history of the homes and the spectacular scenery. Nice little coffee shops add to the experience.

Loved the area and cafes. The homes were historic and the small town quaint feel was very enjoyable and reminded me of the English countryside.

Good to have a wander about Battery Point. Cafes served some tasty lunches and afternoon tea, coffee and cakes.

After a exploring of Salamanca Markets, we wandered further up to Kelly's stairs onto Kelly Street, only to discover one of the most beautiful suburbs in the whole country! It really looks like a postcard from the past, preserving the early settlement history. Much of the architecture was from the Georgian era, succeeded by Federation style houses. Most, if not... Beautiful historic houses...suggest you just walk the streets and enjoy. Some interesting antiques shops as well - a bit pricey but worth lingering in. Princes Park at Battery Point is pretty.

This little part of Hobart is amazing, the heritage, architecture, buildings are amazing to look at. Just walk around which is an easy stroll, even though it is quite hilly. Walk down to Salamanca.

Okay, battery point is a nice part of hobart. But the "sculpture" trail?? It was just a pile of numbers on the rocks or in water, with some billboard about the history. It is not a sculpture trail at all! The public art is way better in other parts of hobart than here. Just something where a council or govt... More

Wandering around the streets and checking out the lovely period residences is great fun but it is also a great place to eat, particularly if like us you prefer to eat in small, cosy restaurants as opposed to the noisy bar/restaurants in the Salamanca area.

Great place to stay. The gardens and houses are amazing, great little shops, cafes, and restaurants. Good walking area with lots of things to see from the hills down to the water or Wal down to the Kelly Steps.
