Beautiful suburb to walk through. Feels very peaceful and the architecture of the small cottages are very nice.

Invigorating walk to the top, lots of quaint and quirky streets and old style residences with charm and character, great choice of restaurants - a must. Red Bus tour allows an excellent chance to enjoy all the sights.

Its always a bonus to be able to learn the history of the places we visit, it will create memories deeper than just touring. Get back in time in the old valleys and roads, look at the historical buildings, take in the surroundings with you. Being identified as one of Hobart’s oldest and most historic estate, Battery Point stood as... More

Very historic. Beautiful water views and the majestic Mt Wellington rules above it. It is within walking distance to Hobart City plus walking distance to the waterfront. Superb!

After visiting Hobart due to a conference in town we walked across to Battery Point and thought we stepped back in time. The narrow streets and heritage buildings were amazing. Pleasant area to walk. Nice views. We walked up Kelly steps at the end or Salamanca Place. Princes Park is a nice spot to relax.

We had a bit of a walk around Battery Point while also enjoying brunch at Jackman & McRoss. This is a pretty area with lots of old buildings built up and with outlooks over the Harbour and toward Mount Wellington. Make sure you pay the area a visit.

Unlike The Rocks in Sydney, Battery Point has not suffered the ravages of the developer and you can wander amongst original houses from the early colonial days of Hobart.

Definitely spend a few hours walking around this area. The houses are incredible and the little shops and pubs are definitely worth a visit.
