This was my favourite place in Hobart. Super cute houses with roses in their gardens. The most picturesque part of Hobart.

2 Couples with 4 nights to discover Hobart. We were so fortunate to jag accomodation in a unit in Battery Point. This is full of beautifully restored and well maintained heritage homes. The gardens were also a huge highlight. We loved to just walk the streets and admire the homes and enjoy the tranquility of the area. Hamden rd was... More

This is not a site but an area with historic and unique house designs and cafes/museum and bars, it can be found a short walk from Salamanca Market or from the Red bus.

The best place to stay in Hobart. Any easy walk to the CBD and the waterfront. Salamanca markets just down the road, some beautiful little eateries and larger restaurants all in easy walking distance. You will be spoilt by choice. The old mansions are superb and some are opened to the public at times. Well worth an inspection. Lovely little... More

Take time to drive around the streets of Battery Point to see the architecture, see the roses in bloom in November. Arthurs' Circus provides a quite resting place and reflection on the past.

We loved Battery Point :) we went here as part of our Gourmania Tour and loved it. Mary gave us some of the history of the area and took us to a fantastic bakery.

When you travel to Hobart don't stay in the CBD, stay here. Superb mansions, cosy streets, roses everywhere, great cafes and pubs and you can walk to Salamanca on Saturday morning.
