Drove up for a look at the Cascade Brewry. Didnt do the tour as it was a bit pricy but sampled a few brews and had a look at the "museum", which was a few display cases with old cans in them. Took us longer to drive up from hobart than we actually stayed.

There's a local rate and a tourist rate... Pathetic, An a waste of money Beers good but you can get it at a decent pub anyway The steak is horrible and they do not go into detail regarding the production process

The beer were good food well presented, lots of walking involved on tour, but staff are kind Jenny the guide was great 12th August 2014, as a suggestion be good to have a snow globe of the brewery!

Stopped in to check out brewery tour, not realising there was a restaurant!! Tried the beer (fantastic stout) and sampled the menu. The gnocci was beautiful but the portion, even for an entree, was teeny tiny. The Thai beef salad was really average but the stout ice cream was amazing. If you went on the brewery tour there was a... More

We enjoyed a 1 hour walk up the Hobart Rivulet to get there, we enjoyed the attractive gardens, we enjoyed the lunchtime meal, and the beer-pulling competition, but the brewery tour wasn't quite up to scratch. The lady tour guide spoke in a rushed garble in some sort of north american accent which was decidedly unauthentic, and we made the... More

We stopped at the Brewery after Louisa's Walk ( a strolling theatre production that actually leaves and returns near the Brewery). Although we did not tour the brewery we did have lunch and sampled their products :-) Staff and servers were warm and friendly. The food was good but very pricey and the beers we sampled were wonderful..... The restaurant... More

We had lunch and did the tour recently during a cold, wet, snowy day. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable, the beer is awesome and the food and souvenirs are top notch. Could hang out there all day if we had time! A must for beer lovers!

The tour was only about an hour, and not that exciting, but we did get to walk through the brewery some, as well as look into the bottling area. The guide was fine and went through the process of beer brewing and some of the history of the company and brewery. The brewery building itself (and the scenery around it)... More

We had a business lunch, 16 if the 20 had the scotch and wow it was awful... Almost stewed, was thin and rubbery. Such a shame as the venue is lovely but the kitchen needs a look at especially for groups. Great staff save this from a one star review!

Upon arriving in Hobart, we traveled directly to the Cascade Brewery as it was the first stop on our list of sites. We happened to walk in as the tour was about to leave and made a split second decision to join. For $25 we had a tour of the brewery, 3 small sample beers, and access to a 'cheap'... More
