Unfortunately our tour was on a weekend which meant the brewery was not in full production so we missed seeing the bottling plant in operation and had to be content with a video presentation for this. The walk around the rest of the factory (where we were allowed to go) was interesting and our fun guide told us some very... More

We enjoyed our time at cascade. Friendly and enthusiastic tour guide whose the tour interesting! We really enjoyed learning the history and tasting the different ciders. 20 dollars and you get tour and 3 drinks included. Great value, food was 15 dollars each and nice pub meal.

I learned a lot from this beer tour. The founder was kind of backed into making beer due to the location of his business property, which was where the water is of the best quality. Fire also plays a historical part. There are other quirks.. I love this beer, having had it last year on the Indian Pacific Railroad that... More

There is nothing better than on a beautiful day to see how beer is made and then enjoy lunch and sampling in the garden.

The Cascade Brewery tour, tasting and lunch in the beer garden was a great tourist activity as well as an educational experience. The Cascade building itself is a wonderful landmark. The beer tasting at the end of the tour is great fun and a good way to taste a few different types of beer. The Red Decker Bus city tour... More

It's old and historic and the beer is a nice drop. And the tours are well run and frequent............so much so that you should book a tour in advance!! And you must wear LONG PANTS and CLOSED IN shoes to do the tour!! AND there is a great eaterie attached to the old building which is well worth visiting...............anytime!! The... More

Brewed on the edge of the earth - good catchphrase We stopped by for a light refreshment upon arrival at the airport. we reached a bit too late i guessed & missed the guided tour. spent our time (plenty of drinking) at the visitor center/ cafe. too bad that the garden was off limit as the venue was booked for... This tour was okay, although the we did it on a Friday and the brewery itself was not operating, so was a bit disappointing. Was still very informative though and the tasting was good to look forward to at the end of the tour. We have since done the tour of Hoags Brewery and it was so much better just... More

We were very impressed by the location, lovely back drop of Mount Wellington and gardens, however we found the tour itself to be a little dispassionate (lady who led it confessed she was not a beer drinker) the tour itself really only involved a stroll through the brewery with intermittent stops where the process was explained. Unfortunately a lot of... More

The tour was run very professionally, however with automation you don't see much in the hour. I have been through a number of breweries around the world (Heineken, Budweiser etc) and rate this the worst and most expensive. The price ($25) included three 7oz glasses of beer that must be collected at once. The meal was subsidised, however not worth... More
