My friends and I were on the early tour on a Saturday. We were in a small group of 5 on the tour and Tanya our guide was friendly and informative. She seemed genuinely enthusiastic about showing off where she worked. Although a weekend, so not operational, it was great to see the factory and the gardens are a beautiful... More

We, (two couples) called in to the Centre on the off-chance that we may get to go on the brewery tour. Upon arrival we realised that the next tour was fully booked, but as this wasn't our main intention of going there, we were more than happy to sample the beer-tasting paddle, have a few glasses of wine and enjoy... We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sam. Very knowledgeable, easy to listen too, great story telling. Learnt a lot about the history of Cascade Brewery, and about Hobart itself. Great value - including 3 sample drinks - and extra's if you can answer some questions correctly. Lovely bar and restaurant. Really nice gardens and surroundings. Can highly recommend.

The trick to getting here if you don't have a car is the hop on hop off bus. It drops you out the front of the Cascade information centre across the road from the Cascade Brewery building. It pays to book a visit in advance if you want to do the brewery tour (check the website, very informative) otherwise the... More

After living in Hobart 14 years we decided to go to the Cascade Brewery restaurant for a birthday lunch. Parmi over cooked, Braised wallaby tuff and dry. Big money for average food. Not to mention the tour guide that brings her tour through the middle of the dinning area to take them to the bar. Then she yells very loud... More

We went to Cascades early in the morning and chose to do the Cascades Walk through the bush land behind the brewery. It was a lovely walk with some beautiful views.

We did a quick visit here. Had a tasting board, admired the buildings and gardens. Would have liked to do the tour but ran out of time. Very friendly staff. Walked back into the city via the cascade walk. Lovely way to pass an afternoon.

We had a great time - the way our tour guide Sam described the process made the beer appealing and I wasn't disappointed. Cascades make great beer and it was interesting to see what goes on.

Our guide, Tara, was enthusiastic, passionate and engaging. She talked about the history, the stories behind the business, and the current day business operations. We were shown the gardens and the life of the establishing family was brought to life. After the tour, we could taste the Cascade soft drinks for the children, and the beers & ciders for the...
