Went on the brewery tour and was a little disappointed as we thought we would see the the factory working and the beer being bottled etc. but it was a Saturday and we weren't told until after we bought our tickets that there was no activity in the brewery. The tour was still interesting and the guide very informative. I... More

Decided to have a quick visit before flying back to Victoria so didn't have time to do a tour. The place is lovely and very scenic with heritage buildings and gardens abound. The restaurant is cosy and I really enjoyed lunch which was fantastic value (daily specials of Peking duck spring rolls and Mercury Apple Cider for $13). I will... More

We loved our brewery tour. We walked there from the cbd along the Hobart Rivulet which made us extra thirsty (great walk). Sam was our guide who nailed his job with a balance of gags and knowledge. The history is brilliant and matched by the beers and food. There was also a beer pouring comp that had the crowd in... More

I'm not a beer drinker but was with some friends who were keen to visit here. I love history so was keen to learn more about the breweries past. On this front our tour of the brewery delivered. Our guide was very knowledgable & took a lot of time to explain the history of the place. While this was great... More

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Hobart. We were greeted on arrival by Sam, so friendly and welcoming. Our tour of 1.5 hours was led by Jenny, she was wonderful, conducting an entertaining and informative tour. We were given some tokens entitling us each to 3 x 7ozs tastes of the brewery's products, a discount... More

We went to the Cascade Brewery for a tour and lunch at the visitor centre after. We found it very interesting with so much history behind the brewery. This was excellent value. The grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide "Tanya" was very friendly and extremely informative. With our tour price was included 3 free beers for tasting and a discount... More

We enjoyed a tasting palette of beers in the cafe/store area which were excellent. It was interesting trying some beers that are only available in Tasmania too. We didn't go on the tour because it was booked out but it did look interesting. No kids though (safety reasons maybe?) There's a a lovely garden area to enjoy your drinks/food and... More

We went on the weekend so the factory wasn't in operation. I believe it's usually operating Mon-Thurs, but recommend you ask when you book if you have a choice. That said, the tour is still worthwhile and very enjoyable. Round it off with a couple of sample beers back at the bar/restaurant and it's a really nice morning or afternoon.... More

We loved to Hobart from hot & steamy Qld 5 years ago and have been meaning to do this tour for ages. Finally had the opportunity to make it a birth day surprise and ended up picking one of those beautiful autumnal days. The setting beside the Hobart Rivulet with backdrop of Mt Ellington is stunning. Tour took just over... More

We went to visit the Cascade Brewery, however, we not able to do a tour as our children were under 16 years old. Despite this there is a very nice bar with reasonable food positioned in nice gardens.
