Sally is the best guide ever. She showed us all the perfect, little and yummy spots in Hobart and surroundings. She was very flexible leaving the choice to us on what how to spend our day. She certainly went the extra mile to leave us with a wonderful experience on the island.

On a cold winter day when the bus tours didn't want us due to insufficient bookings, Sally spent the day hosting my 18 year old son and I for a day-long ad-hoc adventure. An easy hike through a National Park (thanks for dropping us at the top of the hill; we're not used to elevation in Louisiana) past giant eucalyptus... More

Sally Legosz went above and beyond in giving us a tour of Hobart She was very knowledgeable, pleasant and genuinely seemed interested in giving her guests the best possible tour. She even added on a few additional stops that were not scheduled. We travelled in a small mini van that was much more comfortable and allowed for personal interaction with... More

I'm from Tasmania, went down with the girlfriend and decided to take a tour. Wow! I did not know most of the places visited on the tour existed. Seeing day old piglets was an amazing experience, only matched by the fine wine and hand made chocolates. Thank you to Sally for the amazing tour, I look forward to doing it... More

Thanks for a great review! There is something very special about locals coming "home" and discovering something new. This really is an island of Hidden Treasures so hurry back and spread the word about just how wonderful Tassie is! More

I don't think my written review will read quite as stellar as the acutal experience but I shall try. I booked a two day tour from Hobart with Sally of Herbaceous Tours. We would be spending 3 days in Tasmania which I thought would be nice but didn't have big expectations. Honestly, I thought it would be the least interesting... More

So glad that Tasmania exceeded your expectations! Maybe we should market it as the Island of Hidden Treasures. Thank you for such a great review, it was a pleasure to share some of your holiday. If you ever come back to this part of the world I would be delighted to show you some more of our wonderful state. More

Hobart has an extensive selection of gourmet and wine areas to experience and Herbaceous Tours is the company to use. This is a great tour for those interested in Tasmanian produce and interested in knowing more about the food production. If you want to see what Hobart and the surrounds really has to offer, you need a car. You also need to know where to go. You don't, however, if you go on a Herbaceous tour! Sally, the owner, picks you up and drop you off, and during the day-long tour she has handpicked places to go that you wouldn't... More
