We took the day tour to the SouthWest National Park- and it is a full day tour, 9am to 5 pm, well organised and packed with interest, but it never seemed rushed. During the one hour flight to Melaleuca, the twin-engined plane flies low over the coastline and mountains giving you spectacular views of this remote and beautiful area. The... More

We were looking for something different in a tour and got it. A well organised tour from start to finish. We were 2 in group of 13 so required 2 aircraft, had a good briefing before the flight, pilots, Fin and Tom, knew their stuff gave a knowledgable commentary at all stages both in the air and on the ground.... we chose the day tour to Melaleuca and it exceeded our expectations. The flights to and from Melaleuca were spectacular and the pilot/guide gave the most wonderful commentary and was a very knowledgeable and all-round good bloke to spend the day with. At Melaleuca you wander around the historic sites of Deny and Margaret Kings place, see first hand the... More

We had high expectations and they were fully met. Admittedly we may have been lucky with the weather, as it can be pretty wild down there. However, it wasn't just the weather that was glorious, the views were pretty glorious also. Everything was well organised and just as you thought OK time to move on - you were introduced to another... More

I joined three friends and spent the day with Paravion. First we had a flight that was awe inspring views. our pilot was great, informative and considerate. When it got bumpy he changed direction to smooth the flight for our weak stomachs. We then went on the cruise around Maria Island with a walking tour of the townsite. Again the... More

My family took a group of 6 (we're all from south east Tasmania) we did the full day tour, at first we thought it was a bit expensive but when you look at what we got, all the scenery, gourmet morning tea with Tasmanian produce (Tim tams included!) and lunch was divine accompanied with a nice Chardonnay (none of this... I bought my partner a half day SW Wilderness scenic flight with Par Avion in mid-Feb 2014 for his birthday, and we both enjoyed it greatly. We took an afternoon flight, which involved flying from Cambridge airport (near Hobart airport) over Bruny Island and the coast and landing at Melaleuca on Bathurst Harbour, then a boat trip on the harbor... Must to do while you are in Hobart! Outstanding views, great expirience (i would say it was one of the best days in my life) and very professional team! We were lucky and have met noone during our trip, so it was only two of us and nature :) Thomas is the best pilot and guide ever!!! I felt really... More

IMy wife and I spent a day in the Tasmanian South West wilderness incuding a short trek around Melaleuka and a small boat cruise on Bathurst Harbour stopping for lunch on a pristine deserted beach. The views from our flight over the route there and back were breathtaking and the solitude and remote environment unforgettable. There is so much history... More

Yes, it is a lot of money to pay for a day away. But the only other ways you're ever going to see Bathurst Harbour are to sail around (not generally fun in the prevailing weather conditions) or a walk of anywhere between five and ten days depending on your fitness, across some pretty rough terrain with no facilities whatever...
