Cruise out to Bruny Island on the Catamaran then on to a mini bus to Adventure Bay. Then awaits the military style boat out in to the Tasmin Sea and Southern Ocean. If you get sea sick then maybe think of another option other wise you will love it. The staff are Great the food is local and you are... More

Enjoyed the catamaran trip to the Island - guide very chatty - scenic bus trip across the Island, the boat trip to the caves, close encounters with wildlife and then a wild trip back to the Island. Cold but they provide warm jackets to insulate you for the trip. Nice touch when they collect the oysters & cheese they offer... More

Expensive, but worth the money, as it's an excursion you would only do once. We were fortunate enough to have really good weather (Friday 4th January - 42c in Hobart), the sea was calm - no 10 metre swells thank goodness. Still needed the big coats as we sat at the back on the fast boat off Bruny - but... More

We chose this tour over the "more popular" one as they did the first half by ferry down the Derwent to Bruny Island while the other puts you on a bus to Bruny. Geoff our guide was great but we would have loved it if he'd spoken more clearly over the microphone head set so we could get all the... More

This is a hard one to rate, the day starts great with a boat trip to the island, then bus ride. Once on the fast boat things change. Unfortunatley Because the swell was so big it was not enjoyable. By the time we got to the seals I didn't care because I just wanted to be on land. If the... More

This is one of the best one day tours you could ever do. It is extremely professional, it is classy, the staff knowledgeable and friendly, and it is very good value. Three hours in a big speed boat in the southern ocean looking at seals, looking for whales, in a swell that was very big, is just something everyone should... More

There are a couple of flavours for this trip. One departs Hobart - is a full day trip including lunch. The other is a 3 hour trip departing Adventure Bay on Bruny Island - which is part of the larger trip. We took the shorter, cheaper 3 hour excursion which is the scenic part. The boat is very open -... More
