In the snow with 160 km winds, it was so epic! Loved it! Didn't get much of a view though, there was absolutely no visibility!

The view of Hobart from Mount Wellington is fantastic. It was very fortunate that the weather was clear and there was no wind. It was still cold though! It takes approximately 25 minutes to get up to the mountain from Hobart and the road is quite narrow in places. There are a couple of viewing platforms as well as an... More

Mt Wellington can be hard to get to in the Winter but if the road is open it is a must. Just make sure you are well rugged up the cool mountain air is so fantastic and then after you immerse yourself in this adventure it only takes 20 minutes to head back to Hobart for a well earned hot... More

Caught the bus at the visitor center and rode to the top. We had time to check out all the views before heading back to the visitor center

Firstly, you need a clear day! Well, so long as the top of the mountain is not obscured by cloud, you should still expect to get some amazing views! Be prepared for the cold, and often gale force winds at the top. Don't let that put you off! It's a beautiful place, you may even get the opportunity to play... More

Drive to the top for magniricent views of the city and its surrounds. If its too cold outside ( and it often is) there is a sheltered viewing room. Tradition dictates that you put a tiny snowman as a hood ornament for the drive down.

On a clear day, views from the top of Mt Wellington are superb ... the city, the river, the bridge, the surrounding suburbs are spread out before your gaze. There are good interpretation signs at the top to explain what you are looking at. It's often windy and cold ... many degrees cooler than down in the city ... so... More

Snow was still around the summit from previous weekend... it was beautiful to see. Views are spectacular as was going just before sunset. A sight to behold. Definitely rug up, scarves, hats, earmuffs and gloves. It was a 15 degree relatively fine day and yet up in the summit the wind and chill factor was intense. The drive up was... More

We were blessed with a clear sunny day and had a magnificent view. Extremely windy so be prepared with hat, gloves & coat. Lots of viewing platforms . Definitely worth a visit. viewing stops along the way. Road very narrow in parts so must drive carefully
