Great view

Great view, weather is very changeable so take a hat and warm layers. Lots of great walks. Windy road.

If you can get a clear day, the view from the top is not to be missed. When you are in Hobart town Mt Wellington just looks like a big hill behind, but it is massive and the height cannot be appreciated until you take the drive up and see how high it really is. The rocks and heath at... More

...there's room for improved amenities. It's such a special place but it can be so inhospitable. Surely it can be made easier for people to enjoy. Recommended.

This is well worth the curvy road and the chill factor of the wind. The view is one of the best in the world.... One feels like a bird in flight looking down on Hobart town.

We were very fortunate to have beautiful clear weather and spectacular views. It was around 25 degrees in Hobart when we went to the top of Mount Wellington however it was quite chilly and breezy up on the mountain. I would suggest taking a light jacket with you.

One of the great Australian views (on a clear day) can be had from the top of Mount Wellington - looking up and down the Derwent River and for scores of kilometres beyond. It is usually windy and can get cold and snow blocks access from time to time. One way to get there is in the pillion of a... More

Well worth the drive for the most fabulous views over the city and to the wilderness to the west. Easy access from the road to the south of the city

When you come to Tasmania you need to come up to mnt Wellington to see Hobart's great views from above. Just a tip make sure you wear a coat as the weather changes very quickly & it gets freezing cold plus strong wind.

What a view. And the rocks with their unusual shapes. So good. Wish there had of been a resturant up there. Would have been great. But well worth the visit and a must visit for every tourist to Hobart.
