The climb up to the top is interesting with some stops along the way offering beautiful scenery to Hobart city. It was really windy at the top, so be prepared.

We were fortunate to choose a snowy weekend and although we couldn't get to the top we had so much fun and the kids just loved it. Great views all round.

Be sure to check the weather before you make the trek up the mountain! This was the third time I went and the first time I saw anything but clouds. I'm glad I did because on a clear day, the views really are spectacular and after the hike up the mountain it really was great to see Hobart in all... More

What fantastic view! Choose a nice clear day and bring your camera. Easy distance from Hobart and viewing platform very close to car park. I didn't but there is plenty of walks to do up there

A must. If you don't have a car book on a $30 return bus shuttle though the Tasmanian travel and information centre in Davy Street or direct through Hobart Shuttle Bus Company (they also do Richmond Tours)

I loved this drive and experience in the snow. Beautiful spot for photos and for the kids to have a play around.

Because we have spent seven weeks in southern Tasmania, we have had the luxury of picking our day weather-wise and I would highly recommend this if possible. We drove up from Fern Tree on the gravel Summerslea road. Once you start the climb up through the park, the changes in vegetation are remarkable and the strange rock formations at the... More

We went up the mount with friends in March. It is a fair drive up and in the wet you need to take care. Make sure you take warm clothing as the winds can be strong and goes right through you. The views are great. there's a bit to see up there and I think if you are visiting the... More

We booked this tour via the Tourist Information centre in Hibart. At 1.30pm on a sunny but very cold day, we were driven in a mini van with our wonderful & informative guide, Greg & a few other tourists. Greg gave us information about the suburbs we drove through, including interesting historical facts. Reaching the top, we were given 35... More
