Starts off with a memorable winding road. Great views to be had on the narrow road up the mountain. The best views from the top, with great walk ways. We have been up here many times before but this time we were lucky enough to not have any cloud hanging around. Clean toilets available

I was lucky enough to visit Mount Wellington during winter and was able to visit the peak when it had just snowed. The drive up is spectacular and the views from the peak are equally amazing. At the top there were plenty of people having snow fights, building snowmen and exploring the peak. A must do in Hobart

Great views of the whole city, it's always nice to go away and get some clean air and clear your mind. Road access seems pretty easy if you drive. If not, there's buses from the Visitor Center on Elizabeth St that leave at 13.30!!

The drive up and down was a bit scary due to lots of traffic and some people not knowing how to pass. When we reached the top it was well organised with parking attendants.

Drove to the summit for a beautiful view of the city of Hobart and the surrounding countryside. Lovely day, great view and the experience was tops. Had a picnic, so did not care about he lack of a cafe etc. There may be one, but if there was it was not open when I visited. On the way to the... More

I was there in Winter, so obviously I knew it was going to be cold and I had my thermal gear at the ready once I got out of the car. There is an enclosed (weather proof) viewing area so if the weather is rough you can take in the view with comfort. However, if you are there in any... More

Fantastic view and lookout. It would really add to the experience if there was a coffee shop at the top and a place to get warm.
