Worth the trip up for the beautiful views but pack warm clothes! There was snow up there when we went in April.

Visiting the top of this mount gives you a perspective on Hobart unlike any other. I saw snow drifts and forest as well as a glimpse of some views. The wind is unforgettable too. But it is the details that are provided about the history and hardship the mountain has challenged people with in the past. Very glad they had... More

Simply amazing views not only from the top but on the drive up too. We were so lucky to have a small amount of snow to play in and see a Rock Wallaby. Great information in the observation platform.

a trip to Hobart requires a trip to the summit, this is an easy drive,of around 30 minutes . views of the Derwent, Ralphs bay, Storm bay,toPport arthur south to Bruny island, and the channel.and west to snow capped peaks. BUT! the wind can blow the milk out of your tea,and the road is narrow and deserves respect,

A steep climb by car leads to fabulous views of the city and the Derwent river. The day we were there we had cloud cover with breaks of sunshine lighting the sky above and the city below. Very picturesque!

Clouds came and went a bit to obscure the view, but it was beautiful nonetheless. Rug up because it may be 10-15 degrees celcius colder than Hobart. Road is windy so be careful. Some drivers seem to have no idea how to drive safely on narrow roads! There is plenty of parking at the top.

A visit to Hobart is not complete without taking a rewarding trip to the top of Mt Wellington. An amazing drive up the steep and winding road to reach the top of Mt Wellington provides for amazing and picturesque photo opportunities no matter what the season or time of year it is. The 360 degree view is mesmerising and provides... More

The view was obscured from the low cloud and the weather was freezing with the wind that went straight through our clothes. (we had many layers on) Saying that the drive up was beautiful and the kids loved it just as much as we did. I would definitely go again on a clearer day.

If you are going around this time of the year, make sure you rug up, beanie, scarf, gloves, jacket etc.. we got blown away by the strong winds and it was darn cold. Still worth the drive to see all of Hobart.

Fantastic views over Hobart, even though your up in the clouds, a little snow around, the view is breathtaking, well worth the 40min drive to the top.
