A must see if you visit Hobart, totally fantastic views warm and sunny in Spring and Summer, and lots of lovely snow in Winter.

We drive up to the summit of Mt Wellington. We were lucky, it was sunny and bright but very windy.Beware, weather can change within a day, so just make sure you have the appropriate warm dress. If in Hobart, should at least visit. View was amazing. No entrance fee. There are few lookout points along the road.

A drive to the summit of Mount Wellington is a must for all visitors to Hobart. If you can, pick a clear day and you will be rewarded with the views, but remember the weather can change in a short period of time. There were patches of snow and we saw families playing and building a snowman. Make sure you... More

The road up is narrow and windy, so don't bring the caravan, and watch out for the buses. There... More

For a mountain so high, the drive up actually did not take long at all which was a nice surprise. The view is simply amazing and the fresh air is second to none. A must for anyone visiting Hobart.
