Amazing views on a good sealed road the whole way and just a direct 20 minute drive up from central Hobart. Try and get there for sunrise. The view looking down on Hobart and out to the mountains and ocean with the snow, mist and sun coming up is truly magical.

We drove the hire-car up Pinnacle Road, which is definitely not for the inexperienced/easily spooked driver. The road is incredible, winding up to the peak of Mount Wellington, and we were lucky to have a reasonable amount of snow cover greet us at the top. The view is nothing short of breathtaking, and I would say that a jaunt to... More

Awesome views, snow still on summit from last weeks falls. Came prepared with snow clothes, winds very intense so be careful.

Brilliant views, but very cold at the peak (around 10 degrees lower than Hobart). Dress warmly and go on a clear day for the best experience.

A quick comfortable ride up with a good amount of local knowledge thrown in. The views are terrific and worth the time.

Hobart was very kind to us with a temp of 16 degrees in late July. Importantly the skies were blue, with minimal cloud cover and when we reached the top of the mountain we could see the snow still on the ground. The view was exceptional, the photos are beyond our expectations, there was plenty of parking and it's free.

We drove up to Mount Wellington which was right close to the city centre!! It was full of snow and had super strong winds that could almost blow us away! It was however really beautiful with snow all around!! We spotted many people playing with snow along the way. Definitely would come again!!!

Enjoyed seeing Mt Wellington with a winter coat of Snow which added to the overall experience. The downside if you can really call it that was the cold.
