This was our second trip up Mt Wellington and fortunately the wind was not as strong this time. Last time we nearly were blown off the mountain. Stunning views - worth the 10 km or more drive to the top.

It was truly a blast!
The driver Scotty picked me up on a gloomy day from Pickled Frog. Soon after we were half way to the top, it started raining. About 700m above the sea level, we saw frost. By the time we reach the top, the temperature is about -12*C and we were well in the middle of a...

The view is amazing but if you do not like driving up steep roads then perhaps its not for the faint hearted
Did the mountain bike tour with wife and teenage daughter. Amazing views, windy and cold in January. Then the bike ride down to the wharf - thrilling! As would do it again it was so much fun!
I loved that you can see all the way down the channel and river but if it is cloudy while you are up there it can be a waste of time. The trip above the tree line is interesting and on a clear day it is definitely worth an hour or two. Better still climb it. Note the stream that...

Easy trip up the mountain (when roads are open) to capture a great perspective of Hobart and its coast.

No markets on in Hobart went to Mt Wellington. WOW windy just doesn't give true experience. Even our wee bus rocked violently. Fantastic views, great way to remove conwebs, literally!!!
We took a tour(shuttle Bus) to Mt Wellington's summit. This could so easily be an indifferent report. It all depends on the weather whether the tourist should visit here.
The blue sky, warmish temperatures in Hobart were the signals to visit.
We were not disappointed. It seemed we were on top of Tasmania as all corners of the state were...
