Such a great place with so many animals! Paul seems to care a lot about them and he collects hurt animals on the roads too. It felt like a great place to get up and close to the cute and cuddly creatures. No negative feel to it in regard of the wellbeing of the animals.

We visited Paul's Place during our honeymoon on August 2014. Kangaroo Island has been the highlight of our 6-weeks honeymoon across Australia, and the 3-hour visit to Paul's Place has been the highlight of our stay on Kangaroo Island. This is not a zoo or a commercial wildlife place where you see the animals from behind a fence, it's a... More

If you have little kids and want to show them some of Australia's native animals or if you just have the need to pet or cuddle a koala or a kangaroo then visit this place - you won't regret it. The sanctuary is easily accessible and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm a 16 year old boy and I totally enjoyed Paul's Place. If you want to see the Australian animals and be very close to them this is the place to go. The tour was totally fun and I could see and touch all the animals. I did even hold a kangaroo in my arms! That was something really special... More

We were eagerly anticipating this visit for many months and our high expectations were exceeded. We have visited and enjoyed a number of zoos in Australia but were looking for a different experience seeing the life of some of Australia's many unsung heros, because people who take in orphaned, unwanted or injured animals and care for them out of their... This was the experience of a lifetime for me, my husband, and 2 college age children. Paul is very fun loving and let's you experience the animals in the open under his watchful eye. I can't choose the most memorable experience. Was it feeding the emus, and Kangaroos, holding the parrots, or cuddling the koala? It was all a fantastic... More

We went to Paul's Place during our stay at the Waves and Wildlife Cottages down at Stokes Bay Beach. It's an amazing spot, by the way. I heard about the fact that Paul's Place was closed and I was wondering why. So I called Paul, the owner of Paul's Place, and asked him. He said that there are some problems... More

This is by fa the best thing you can do when visiting KI. I took my wife to Kangaroo Island for the first time last October and it was the highlight of her trip. I have been to Paul's place many times and never miss a visit when I come to the island. Paul is a true showman and loves... More
