My girlfriend and I visited the Sanctuary in December and I have been meaning to write a review because it is seriously the best experience I have ever had with animals. I was never a big fan of animals to be honest (as my girlfriend likes to point out) but my gf made me come with her to Paul's. I... More

We visited several wildlife parks while we were on holiday in Australia. This one was superior by some distance, Paul was an excellent guide around the sanctuary and his love of the animals is so obvious. This is coupled with his humour.Interacting with the animals is an incredible experience and hand feeding the kangaroos was worth the visit to Kangaroo... More

We visited Kangaroo Island in January 2014. We were travelling with our kids and hence were looking for some fun stuff for them to do as well. We had been told about Paul's Place by one of the locals. We arrived on a swelteringly hot January afternoon and were greeted by an "unusual" man. Let me tell you, what Paul... More

Dear SandraCesare, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. You are very kind calling Paul 'unusual' :- ) I think it is his total lack of style and bizarre manner which most people enjoy - I also remember meeting Paul for the first time so know exactly what you mean - I thought, 'surely this... This was the highlight of our holiday and we still talk about it often. I am pretty sure there is no place like it in Australia, probably the world. It is a loving family run animal meet and greet combined with some crazy comedy where everyone who wants to be is involved , in a nice way. To be allowed... More

Hello Lisa, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this. Reading positive feedback makes it so worthwile doing the tours. We love sharing the animals and knowing it has made someone's holiday special makes our day, (and when someone understands our 'jokes' :-). Will hopefully open again for a few days next year sometime and would love... More

After visiting Kangaroo Island last Easter (April '14) my wife and I considered that Paul's Place was the absolute highlight of our visit. We are from Australia, so we've seen lots of Australian animals before, but it was a fun afternoon and a real experience for visitors from overseas; part of the pleasure was watching their reaction to the animals.... Hi rdscott, Thank you so much for this review. We are very happy you enjoyed your time. It is very funny because no matter how many tours we, (and especially Paul who has been doing this 35 years), we do, it is always so enjoyable to see people's reactions when getting up close and personal with the animals. It really... More

My name's Simon. Me and my wife Margherita visited Paul's Place last october during our honey moon. Coming from Italy, we basically had never seen any kangaroos or koalas or any animals that live out of Europe before our trip across beautiful Australia. And before going to Paul's Place we just saw some of these animals from afar, and didn't... More

Hello Simon and Magherita, Thank you so much for visiting here on your honeymoon and writing this very beautiful review and the gorgeous photos - always great to see as we do not have a very good camera ourselves and do not take many pictures. This wildlife sanctuary was very fun and interesting. We were able to feed and pet wallabies. There are a remarkable number of animals indigenous to Australia here.

This was one of the greatest highlights of our time in Kangaroo Island. The animals were well cared for, and it was obvious that each animal was part of Paul and Katja's family. While here, we were able to enjoy a wide range of hands on experiences with several kinds of Australian animals that would otherwise be unreachable. Our family... More

Hopefully we will be open a few hours a week again soon, we are really missing it and the animals are too. Just not the ponies, happy as can be, they are loving... More
