If you have little kids and want to show them some of Australia's native animals or if you just have the need to pet or cuddle a koala or a kangaroo then visit this place - you won't regret it. The sanctuary is easily accessible and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm a 16 year old boy and I totally enjoyed Paul's Place. If you want to see the Australian animals and be very close to them this is the place to go. The tour was totally fun and I could see and touch all the animals. I did even hold a kangaroo in my arms! That was something really special... More

We were eagerly anticipating this visit for many months and our high expectations were exceeded. We have visited and enjoyed a number of zoos in Australia but were looking for a different experience seeing the life of some of Australia's many unsung heros, because people who take in orphaned, unwanted or injured animals and care for them out of their... This was the experience of a lifetime for me, my husband, and 2 college age children. Paul is very fun loving and let's you experience the animals in the open under his watchful eye. I can't choose the most memorable experience. Was it feeding the emus, and Kangaroos, holding the parrots, or cuddling the koala? It was all a fantastic... More

We went to Paul's Place during our stay at the Waves and Wildlife Cottages down at Stokes Bay Beach. It's an amazing spot, by the way. I heard about the fact that Paul's Place was closed and I was wondering why. So I called Paul, the owner of Paul's Place, and asked him. He said that there are some problems... More

This is by fa the best thing you can do when visiting KI. I took my wife to Kangaroo Island for the first time last October and it was the highlight of her trip. I have been to Paul's place many times and never miss a visit when I come to the island. Paul is a true showman and loves... More

We drove a long way today ( Thursday 5th March 2015) to visit Paul's Place having read rave reviews on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately it was closed with a note on the gate stating ' Closed due to Insurance difficulties, despite never had an accident'. Other people arrived while we were reading the notice, they too had driven a long way to... More

Hi AussieBE, We are so sorry to you and anyone else wanting to visit. We are ourselves totally devastated to be closed at the moment and missing visitors more than we thought possible. Paul has been doing this for 35 years and is pretty lost. Thank you for taking the time to ‘review’. We have tried to get the information... More

Our visit to Paul's Place was perhaps one of the most memorable things I have ever done in my life! But be warned - a visit here is not for the faint of heart. There are animals *everywhere* and the tour is a delightfully controlled chaos. However, if you are an animal lover this is a must do. We got... More

We visited Paul's Place in June 2014. We still talk about it all the time. I have wanted to go to Australia for literally 50 years. Paul's Place was our first stop, and if I had had to go home right after, I would have felt it was worth the wait. We were greeted at the gate of Paul's farm... More

Dear LCub42, Thank you so much for the lovely review. It is so rewarding when people take away good memories and visiting is a special part of their Australia experience. Really appreciate knowing this. Many thanks also to the other beautiful reviews. We have not responded to all as we have been busy writing letters in the hope of reopening... More
