Owner description: ANDO Tours is owned and operated by the Underground Bed and Breakfast in Coober Pedy.We have a luxury 4WD vehicle that seats a maximum of 6 people, that way we can give you a highly personalised tour experience that will leave you amazed. We have decades of experience living and mining in Coober Pedy that we are proud to share with you. We do a half day tour of opal mines, Breakaways, Moon Plain and Dog Fence.

We were originally booked on the Breakaways tour, but after seeing some photos of the Painted Desert, at the Underground B & B, we changed to this tour. It was a full day tour, crossing the dog fence, then on to see the Moon Plain where no vegetation grows. There is nothing but scattered rocks..."moon rocks", silica rocks which shine... More

We booked a full day tour to visit the Painted Desert area and while it wasn't cheap it was good value for money. Not only did we see some wonderful scenery but were treated to a day of our guide and driver's knowledge, experience and great sense of humour. This is my first ever poor review, but the tour was seriously marred by constant belittling comments about Aboriginal people. Scoffing about permits required to enter Aboriginal land and sacred sites, left me feeling very disappointed that I took this tour. I booked the tour to lake Eyer, but the road was closed because of rain. The host took us to Break aways even the road was tough. We enjoyed the tour.

We had a wonderful time, the B&B was an experience to say the least. The host and hostes were very nice poeple and nothing was to much for them. The tour to the painted mountains was special too with a very nice lunch. We recommend this a 100%. Worthwhile to do! The van Vijfeijken family,

We had a great day with Ken travelling the Oodnadatta track at speeds we would never do ourselves! Very informative, good lunch, excellent scenery. It was a long drive but most enjoyable. So glad we did the trip!

Ken took us out to the painted Desert,this is an amazing tour-saw the Dog Fence,frequent stops to note the geology-silica like rocks,ancient petrified wood rocks as well as the noting the vastness of the outback.We stopped for lunch at an outback station-just so far from anywhere-these places are so isolated.The painted Desert is great,the husband had a wonderful time taking... What a great day out with Ken. The tour was well organised, informative including a lot of local knowledge of the surrounding country and cattle stations near the Painted Desert. The walk in the hills at the Painted Desert was truly spectacular and unique. We visited Kens B & B after the tour and were very impressed. Thanks Ken
