Aldinga Beach is a bit of an icon. One of the few remaining beaches you can actually take your car on. It's a safe swimming beach with the depth increasing only gradually. the nearby Saltbush restaurant is good value, but if it's fish and chips you want then Jimmy's at Snapper point (1 km north) will appease your taste buds.... Aldinga is a beautiful safe picturesque beach. It's a great place to take the family for a picnic, swim fishing etc. The beach is very accessible by car no four wheel drive needed, you can launch your boat or jet ski on the northern side of the ramp onto the beach. In summer there is a entry fee of $6... More

Where else in the world can you drive your standard sedan onto the beach, park, put down a rug, put up an umbrella / shelter and have a relaxing and fun day at the beach. Take a BBQ / Picnic lunch and an Eski and the whole day will be perfect. The setting is gorgeous too - a must do... More

Aldinga Beach is an idyllic sandy stretch that you can drive onto directly to find your "perfect" spot. While we were here, the winds were offshore which meant we didn't get any kiteboarding in, but we still enjoyed this marvellously clean beach. The water is relatively flat and we didn't experience and strong currents or rips. Access to the beach... More

A great beach for family and or friends. Unlike most beaches you are allowed to drive on the beach. The beach is about 40-70m wide so there are always places to park the car and set up some shade and chairs, draw a tennis court or cricket pitch in the sand for a game or do what ever else you... We are coast huggers and invariably find ourselves at a beach in Australia or overseas. There are none better than the beach at Aldinga bay. The bay is in a gulf so it's protected and has no rips or undercurrents. It's about 5kms long and has vehicle access via three ramps, Aldinga beach, Silver Sands and Sellicks beach. A no... More
