The beach is beautiful. Not crowded at all. Clean water and sand. Just make sure you drive along the beach road to see all the available accesses to the beach. There is one access that google maps takes you to, which is not a tidy place and has got a lot of sea weeds. Just drive your way along the... More

We were coming back from Victor Harbour (awesome spot) and decided to stop at Aldinga Beach last minute. The beach and water were both very nice but this is a beach where you can drive right onto the beach. It was kind of odd laying there picking up some sun while cars drove by you on the beach.

Aldinga Beach is a beautiful spot for a walk, a swim, or to launch a small boat. The reef is a marine park and is my favourite place to walk and explore (no shoes on the reef), as there are cars allowed on the beach elsewhere (which spoils the safety and the ambiance). Only half an hour from Adelaide CBD, this coastline is a beautiful destination. Continue further on for more spectacular views or swing across to Maclaren Vale, a renowned wine region.

Whilst in Adelaide we took the kids to Aldinga, compared to the busier beaches this was amazing, kids could venture around on their own and were always in sight

I like this beach for the fact that you can drive onto it, travel a bit further away from other beach goers and have handy access to music and cold drinks in the car esky :-) while playing some beach cricket.

You can drive your cars onto this beach, set up shelters, slap the sunscreen on exposed parts of your body then enjoy swimming in the water

You pay bugger all to drive on the beach. And the money goes to good use. Then find your spot on the beach - and it's pretty wide and long so always plenty of room. Unpack the car, set up and while away the hours watching the shark spotting plane go by every so often. Magical place this. But avoid... More
