Aldinga Beach, otherwise known as Silver Sands, is a very wide beach in southern Adelaide. Have I been there? Of course I have! I've been there 4 times now. I will be going again with my cousins sometime this week. The beach is outstandingly fantastic! It has incredibly crisp and clear waters, flat white sand, hardly any see-weed, and your... More

Aldinga is one of the best beaches in Australia, you can drive on the beach year round, no major swells, current or rips so ideal for kids, clean and very very long!!

For taking some photos, we visited there on the way to Kangaroo island. That day was very windy, so nobody swimming and everybody were wearing a jacket on the beach. My husband had no jacket, so we needed to go coffee shop in there.

went with my husband for a drive along the coastline to view the facilites and see changes since our youthful days and view the scenery. We found a nice place to stop for coffee and cake and from the amount of people at the cafe doing the same, it was a popular place to visit.

I was expecting a very quite beach but there were lot of people around the beach. Beautiful settings and looks like high class culture. Most house next to the beach probably owned by billionaires. Beach is beautiful and lot of things to do in a perfect day.

If weather is good make sure you head south to Aldinga, it has crystal clear water, long wide beach and completely untouched bathe tourist hoardes.

Its one of the few beaches you can drive on in Adelaide and is great in Summer. However it is quite a drive from the city; by car its nearly an hours drive (traffic permitting) and train nearly 2 hours. Although offering great scenery of hills and cliffs, I just don't see the point of going to Aldinga Beach unless... More

The beach is beautiful. Not crowded at all. Clean water and sand. Just make sure you drive along the beach road to see all the available accesses to the beach. There is one access that google maps takes you to, which is not a tidy place and has got a lot of sea weeds. Just drive your way along the... More
