Such a pretty area in the City to walk along or sit and just watch life go by. A walk full of Historical buildings and sights. Plenty to see and do.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk along North Terrace. There is so much of interest to see. The National Wine Centre, the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the Art Gallery and Museum, as well as the Railway Station, State Library, Convention Centre, and a number of Monuments and War Memorials. The architecture is quite magnificent!!!
There's just so much to see along North Terrace. Masses of places of historical and/or cultural interest, such as the State Library and the University (wonderful architecture), the Art Gallery, Museum, plus many others; also the Botanic Gardens. Flat easy walking, lots of green spaces, plenty of places to stop for a coffee break or on a shady bench.
Street at strategic location, with so many functional and heritage buildings within walking distance and where various transport moda exist
you cant miss north terrace when you visit Adelaide, it has the Art Centre, National Library, the uni buildings, and Rundal Mall, and you can visit Botanic Gardens from there, don't take the car because its hard to find car parks in North Terrace can cost you too much Parking your car in the city.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and do the walk, so much to see, so much to photograph.August saw all the major buildings undergoing facelifts or construction at this time but it is so beautiful
Something for everyone. Food, drinks, pubs, museums, art gallery. Large grass areas for picnics and only a minute stroll down to the shopping mall. Heavy traffic during peak hours but plenty of traffic lights so you dont have to walk far to cross the road.
