I enjoyed strolling around the botanic gardens, and particularly in seeing the very beautiful and strongly scented rose garden. The glass houses were good and it was a good introduction not only to South Australian plantlife, but to some of the different types of plants I was to encounter during the rest of my tour of Australia. more

The Adelaide Botanic Gardens are just alongside the hospital and only a 5-10 minute walk from the CBD. The gardens are a compact gem with a number of lakes and a stunning and unique conservatory as a centre piece. There is a very good restaurant in the gardens and it's a great place to chill out on a warm afternoon. more
