Definitely one for the sportspeople, but also enjoyable for the families with children. This trail takes you from the hills to the beach, but most people probably come in at the city section. This shared trail is very well maintained, and picturesque. I really appreciated the installation of water fountains in the stretch I ran along. The trail is also... More

A friend and I parked the car and walked along Linear Park for over an hour. Good walking paths and lovely scenery and plenty of shade.

Was in Adelaide for four nights and used this trail every morning for a walk. When the sun is out it was a cool place out of the heat, there was a cold wind on two of the days and once down next to the river you missed the wind. If come back to Adelaide would love to do the... More

We rented a place just around the corner. We used the trail to walk after our meals in the mornings and in the evenings for a week. Next time we will rent bicycles.

We walked the whole length of the linear park from hills to sea several years ago – about 20 km as the crow flies, but about 30 km to walk! The sealed trails follow the River Torrens, mostly on both sides of the river, and are designed for bicycles and pedestrians. For part of the trail, the O-Bahn tracks follows... More

Even my teenagers (early and late teens) love to take a bike ride along the linear trail. We particularly love the area between Walkerville and Adelaide. Great to take the bikes out and not too hilly for those of us not used to riding. It is also wonderful to find an off leash area for the dog on the oval... More

This is not a short walk.. it is more than 24km long. It runs from the base of the hills all the way to Glenelg. Its quite a trail. Bikes can do it all as can walkers (but its long). Rollerbladers stick to the city area as the track is a little rough in the areas to the hills side... More

A beautiful walk along the river and with changing scenery, makes it all the more interesting. There are several sections you can walk along, from the Adelaide hills, past the city area's and all the way to Henley Beach.

Walking along the River Torrens was very peaceful, even though there was plenty of activity; people sitting, walking and many with boats, as shown in my photo.
