I have walked and cycled every kilometre of the linear park from hills to sea many times over the years, especially the section north-east of the city. The archery club in North Adelaide to the weir is a particular favourite, usually stopping at Elder Park Kiosk for a coffee or hot chocolate before heading back past the zoo. It's a... More

The River Torrens that runs through the heart of city from the hills to the sea, through the Eastern and Western suburbs, has carved a gorge, more so on the Eastern Flank than the west and contains cycle/walking paths either side of the river banks.Along the way, there are BBQs and playgrounds and billabongs (small lagoons) and plenty of shaded areas. The Eastern side... Rode the linear trail today with my 12 and 9 y/o kids. Started from the Henley Sailing Club carpark and rode to the Wellington Square Hotel for lunch. The trail is great; nothing more than undulating for 12km and not a single car to worry about. Have only ever ridden the "beach side" of the trail, and always find it... More

A delightful walk back to the southern part of the city after dining in North Adelaide. Much better than walking along the road.

Great trail with lots of trees along the riverbank. Very suitable for some afternoon walk, or taking your bicycle out for some pedaling.

The river can get a little smelly when the wind blows the fountain water your way but the track is long and you can stop for a relax or picnic just about anywhere along the way on the grassy banks

Excellent trail, I started at the foothills and rode to the city. Relatively easy ride, lots of open space, playgrounds, ponds, etc. Beautiful spot to spend an afternoon. Next time I will go all the way to the ocean!
