Located at the entrance to the resort, it is one of the world’s largest man-made living coral reef lagoons and features more than 80 species of marine fish and 50 species of coral. This microcosm of the Great Barrier Reef continues to capture the imagination of tourists young and old; with guests having the opportunity to hand feed resident stingrays, sharks and barramundi. « less

Daydream Island resort is great place, no matter do you going there for a day trip or you planing to stay few days in resort. Staff is very nice and very professional. I went there for a day trip. They have lot of excursions to offer, very nice aqua show, beautiful beach, nice trail for walking to the other side... More

The marine-life all looked happy and healthy - sharks, rays, reef-fish a-plenty. Marine Biologists were very knowledgable and it was fun to pat a stingray and watch feeding-time. But the whole place needs a re-vamp i.e. you can see old pipes sticking out of the lagoon and black plastic coming away at the bottom... things need re-painting around the place... More

To walk around the main Reception and Main entrance with a Lagoon full of Living Coral and Sea life was so relaxing. We stopped every time we went past and over the lagoons to admire the Fish.

We didn't expect it to be so amazing! Such a terrific concept - the ponds and waterways meander around the buildings and under bridges - never too far away. Gives you the tropical island / coral reef feeling without ever leaving land. The qualified oceanographic staff were excellent.

so small you will be finished there in an hour, the walk on the island doesn't offer any great views and will leave you thinking why did i choose this island to spend my money on. The shops are not very good at all (all 3 of them) the buildings on the island look in terrible shape and are really... More

Beautiful set up around the hotel. Reef staff very knowledgeable about the creatures they care for. Guided feeding activity is great fun - feeding huge Rays & kissing a shark !

We loved the feeding of the stingrays! If you are on the island for only one day this is a definite must-do. It is only once a day so try not to miss it. It is actually the only attraction on the island, There is only the mermaid beach and the fish feeding, which I didnt find anything special.
