Cassius is getting a little old these days, but hes a character... The daily croc feeding is a must for my wife, the sheer power of these animals is scintillating.

Marineland Melanesia Crocodile HabitatSituated on beautiful Green Island off Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef. Home to Cassius - largest captive croc in the world at nearly 5.5 metres. Set on 3/4 acre garden setting with over 60 crocodiles, sea turtles, tropical fish aquariums, and museum of primitive art and marine artefacts. See our crocodile feeding shows at 10.30 and 1.30 daily, and have your photo taken holding a baby crocodile. Ask about our family rates.At our entrance you will find our gift shop, with a fantastic range - and the best prices. Souvenirs, T-shirts, beach clothing, towels, sunscreen, shells, coral, gemstones and jewellery. We make beautiful gemstone and coral jewellery here in our shop as well - take home something unique to Green island.

We visited Marineland Melanesia in January 2012. We did not see the crocodile feeding but just the displays.
We felt the complex was tired and unmaintained and felt sympathy for the aminals in their small old enclosures.
It is hard not to compare this attraction unfavorably against other more progressive nature zoos and parks.

Thanks for your review of our attraction. We are happy to report that we are currently undertaking some renovations and updating of different areas within our crocodile park. As a family business with 40 years history at Green Island, we still want to maintain the character of Marineland; and this is what we will keep in mind as we progress...

When we visited Green Island the weather wasn't brilliant and so our activities were severely limited and so we decided to got to Marineland Melanesia. The crocodile feeding show was very good and so were the other animals there such as the turtles and barramundi. Overall it was a good experience.
