So long as it is a sunny day, you will love Lake McKenzie. Best time to view the water is in the early afternoon

Very picturesque and well set up with changing facilities for those who braved the water. Our kids waded in and loved the beautiful sand and the clean, clear water but it was pretty chilly!

Crystal clear rain fed lake with white soft sand, still the same as I remember over 10 years ago. Fenced off area for eating to discourage dingoes from scavenging.

Remarkable scenery - amazingly clear water, lovely reflection of trees and sky in the water. It was an extremely busy place with bus loads of tourists and 4 wheel drives. An enclosure has been made for people to eat safely away from the dingoes and there were plenty of clean toilet facilities.

This place is beautiful. We were there for an hour because it was colder but if it was warm you could easy spend all day here.

What more could you ask for? The calm, mirror-like surface of the lake makes for some great photos. The beach looks like the one at Whitehaven, but this is a bit easier to get to and you can spend more time there, exfoliating and brushing your teeth with the sand. Bring a snorkel and mask to get a better view... More

If you are going to Lake McKenzie, don't forget to bring your swimming gear. The sands are perfectly white, and water is crystal clear. This is truely heaven on earth for us. So beautiful. We are travelling there by the Fraser Explorer Tour.
