This place is incredible. Clear water, fine white sand and normally many happy people swimming. This is an absolute must when visiting Fraser Island.

The clearest water ever, we had a lot of fun swimming and playing around in the lake! Amazing white sand and safe place to swim. My favourite place of Fraser

So so so stunning. The day we visited was a beautiful day and the lake looked amazing. So fresh swimming in it. It is like a beautiful beach but without the salty water! One of my favourite places on the east coast of Oz

This is a simply stunning Lake. Take your floaty and just sit back and relax. Can get a little crowded, but there is plenty of room for all.

Have to admit I was a little cynical before visiting Fraser Island. Was totally expecting it to be over rated..but boy, was I wrong! Lake McKenzie is especially gorgeous! Unfortunately, was on a bus tour so didn't get much time to spend there, but is a definite must do. We kind of stayed away from the main group and there... More

Went on a daytrip, to see a bit of the forest and to get away from the saltwater surrounding the island. There were plenty of empty parking spots & clean toilets, even though it was the end of peak season. After a short stroll down to the beach and you're greeted by the whitest silica sand, crystal clear water, and... More

There is a reason why everybody visiting Fraser Island comes to this place: it's magnicifcant. One of the most spectacular spots on the island (only downside is also the fact that everybody comes to this place, so there's a constant coming and going of people).

Fascinating lake with crystal clear water and white sand round the edge. The pitch black which starts about 5 metres out from shore is a bit un-nerving until you get used to it! Caused by the solidified humus which is retaining the water at this height.

Visited Lake McKenzie as part of a 1 day Fraser Explorer day tour. Barry the tour guide had told us all about how the lake was formed before we arrived and it did not disappoint!

Amazing how white the beach is. Unfortunately the weather was not the best the day we were there, but still totally worth it.
