this is an exceptional experience - going 80kmp on the beach - passing other 4 wheel drive vehicles - not road division and some drivers electing to stay on left or right depending how they felt or where they come from made it exhilarating. Flights operate on the beach apparently only one of two official aerodromes in the world that... More

One of the weirdest highways that I have ever been on, and definitely the bumpiest! Make sure you wear your seat belt but most of all enjoy the views! Keep a watch out for dolphins in the sea and dingoes in the woodland.

I love the view of ocean, beach and waves. This goes on for ever along Seventy-Five Mile Beach on Fraser Island.

This is quite a unique beach but very long so makes it a long day and a lot of driving. It is absolutely imperative if you are driving yourself that you first check out all the tides BEFORE leaving. It is quite dangerous driving at high tide. There are some little 'towns' along the beach so plan your trip before... More

Very bumpy ride - in fact thrown out of my seat in the bus - especially when it has been raining but really unless you have your own 4wd it is the way to go. Could've done without the music in the bus - why we have to have music everywhere beggars belief in a pristine environment. Indian Head is... More

For starters you MUST have a real 4WD vehicle - that means something like a proper landrover, not a chelsea tractor! The island is amazing. As you drive up Seventy Five Mile beach (which is the main road on the island) you'll see dingoes, whales and maybe sharks. Visit the Champagne pools, Lake McKenzie and Eli Creek. You'll love it.

We had a good family trip, but we are not big campers and Fraser camping is pretty rough. It was good to experience Fraser Island, but I have probably had enough in one trip.

Where else would you share the main road (beach) with light aircraft and then see dingoes wandering up and down. Excellent
