Took a 4 yr old with us and we all enjoyed this day. Lots of seats for us oldies. Several tours and talks. Lots to see and all the staff are friendly and helpful. They were all happy to answer any questions. The food at the café was good with a good range and prices.

I have been told there is nothing in townsville for backpackers to do, but me and my girlfriend decided against this theory and went ahead and stayed there. We went to the aquarium and it was fantastic. We have already scuba dove and snorkelled but this was fantastic value. We had a tour guide called john who went out of... More

Advertised as the world's largest living reef aquarium I was expecting something much larger that would take more than an hour to see. Exhibits were ok but not spectacular. The cafe was very limited in hot food; the warm cabinet had only 1 pie and 1 croissant, but the coffee was excellent.

Reef HQ is a great place to visit in Townsville, my granddaughter's favourite. Its very child friendly, easy to get around and lots of things for the children to interact, teaching them about the world of the sea. We really enjoyed our visit, Townsville is excellent for a holiday with Reef HQ just one of many areas to go.

We had a few hours at the Reef HQ and what a great place to visit, plenty to see and the Turtle Hospital was great. A must do if you have visitors or on schools Holidays.

We recently took our 4 year old daughter to Reef HQ and she loved it. You don't need a whole day to look around, we did it comfortably in 2 hours. We also had lunch here at the little café and were impressed by the variety on the menu and the prices. It's not often that you can get a... More
