The location is amazing. The material within the museum needs updating..... They charge a fee. Not worth paying to get into this exhibit.

This is not a large attraction - almost more like a "Toy Town" than a true museum. It would be good for young children because of the scaled down size of things, but did not hold my interest for long.

Worth a visit if your staying in Townsville CBD or Palmer St. A good history of NQ, plenty of relics. The lighthouse is the highlight. Also check out the Victoria Bridge (a historically significant swing bridge). A statue of Robert Towns is on the CBD side.

A small yet fascinating museum. The exhibits were well signed and very educational. I wish I'd had a bit more time to read everything.

A must see! Yet again the service has made the big difference here, although only a small museum it has a vast range of our maritime history. The guides were more then happy to share all the knowledge and own experience, those little touches get a huge thumbs up in my book.

Classical little Maritime museum in Townsville not far from the City Centre. Great exhibits from the old ship wrecks of the Pandora and other boats. Different selections of light house glasses, WW2 Naval models. Interesting place if you are interested in boats and history of ship wrecks that happened off the coast of Townsville.

Small, but very impressive and well presented! Conveniently located off Palmer Street the Maritime Museum is an ideal educational destination for young and old. Well worth the time and minor expense!
