For those who want to enjoy an arts and cultural experience the Gold Coast Art Gallery and Arts Centre is the first place to go. Good spot. Nice food - pies, muffins, pastas, Vietnamese prawn rolls, Caesar salads, and so on. Great to go for a bite when seeing something at the gallery. Parking is easy. It will be even better when they revamp the buildings so you can face the water.

Always an inspiring place to wander around and then maybe enjoy a light meal at the Arts Cafe or see a movie. Well priced art pieces too. Well worth a visit

We visited the gallery recently to check out an exhibition. I was disappointed with the exhibition - for one thing there were far too many works jammed in. Perhaps less walk around space and more hanging area would work but it was impossible to appreciate any of the better art works and the groupings seemed to be all wrong. I... More

We visited the gallery recently but I guess it depends on the genre of art which interests you. We didn't find it very exciting. However there is a comfortable movie theatre there and the centre and a cafe in the precinct.

A little bit hard to find in the complex, clearer signage would have helped. The exhibition we saw was excellent and the volunteers were helpful. Better advertising would bring more visitors.

Nice and relaxing visit. Some very nice paintings and a lovely needlework exhibition. Caught the bus back to surfers and got off at chevron island and had a quick look at the shops. Excellent pie at Goldsteins Bakery. So popular they sell out and I had to wait 10 minutes for a new batch. Worth it though!

Food selection is poor and service is chaotic to say the least. As a restaurant adjoining the actual art centre where good show are featured it should be a much better standard.

Art, it is said, is in the eye of the beholder. You really can't rely on another persons opinion...but I'll give mine, anyway. This is the most boring art gallery that I have ever visited. That's it!
