Owner description: The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions.Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

A beautiful beach that epitomises the Gold Coast. Often crowded but good for people watching and for swimming. Can be dangerous when rips occur but diligent life guards make it safe if you swim between the flags. The Mall opposite the beach is worth a look though, for whatever reason, it always seems to appear a bit jaded.

Our stayed in an apartment nearby during our vacation, the apartment was average, the beach were fantastic. Our family decided on Christmas eve to take short walk on the beach, what started as a short walk ended as long enjoyable stroll along the beautiful beach, it was quite dark as the sun had set but the lights from the building... It's a beach. But a famous beach. Skyscrapers line the foreshore and it's always a vibrant spot. The water temperature is good from September onwards and the sand is fine (not the coarse type).

With 70 kilometres of surf beaches with perfect year round of swimming conditions, the average temperature around 22 Degree, awesome. With tourists and local beach perfect bodies, time to enjoy the natural beauties. Remember to put on plenty of sun block to prevent scan cancer ya

Pleasant but cool weather for a for a Filipino. Practically traffic is smooth. Walking around is enjoyable but we have to wear jackets. The beach was clean, clean potable water was available from the fountains. The public toilets were well maintained...complete with toilet paper and paper towels.

One of the best beaches in the world that I've seen. On the whole, Gold Coast is nothing short of Paradise. The best experience here was to walk from Broadbeach South till Surfers Paradise on the beach, touching the water, at Sunset. This was a truly remarkable experience. From a touristy point of view, Surfers Paradise has the best mix... More

Had a recent stay in the Gold Coast with my family. We enjoyed the gorgeous weather, me and my husband enjoyed a walk along the beach. The water was warm, sand clean and we'll patrolled. My husband enjoyed a swim after our walk, nice big beach.
