There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment. « less

Was alone when I went to this place while on business trip in Brisbane and I found the place with great attractions on the wall, not to forget the 360 degree view of the surroundings. I can see the shore line up up to 50 kms or so. Shore line was clean and enjoyful as well. Love the white sand.

Clean beach, lovely soft sand, safe for walking and running. If your visiting surfers recommend you try this.

Surfers Paradise Beach is excellent as there's night markets, McDonalds nearby, lots of shops & the council has upgraded the foreshore & it looks wonderful (compared to how it used to look)!

Thanks to the volunteers who spend many hours to ensure safety of the visitors on the beach. Very clean, well guarded- we had a demonstration on how they do helicopter rescues! again, thanks very much and wishing you good health to continue doing what you are doing

It is clean, safe, beautiful walkways safe to walk early morning or late nights. There is nothing we didn't like about the beach.

It's very close between the esplanade and the beach. The beach is quite long beach . It's so good to surf such a long beach ,on the back of the blue sky . It has quote a big wave . It was also nice to walk along the beach. But I think it's better to fly or do some parasailing... More

I actually spent Christmas Day on this beach and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly banter and games from the many locals using the area. Although BBQs are not allowed on the beach area there are public hot plate BBQs available with free electricity within a short distance and as the area surrounding is an alcohol free area there was a good... The beach is nice and clean with golden sands. The sea is clean from pollution also. Too many birds around due to scraps of food from the restaurants.

Was windy but still nice when I went. Well maintained and clean. Not sure if it'd be as nice in peak periods but nice for a mid week relax.

Might be a bit crowded, but what a beach! the sand is crispy, the horizon is the clearest horizon we have seen anywhere in the world. And we have seen a lot.
