There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment. « less

Went to the gold coast for 9 nights with 2 small kids, aged 3 and 6. Of all the theme parks, Seaworld, Movie World ans Dream World. Dream World was be far the best for everyone as it had the most rides for children. It was so good that we went 2 days in a row. One down side though,... More

Loved the long walks on the beach, great surf and soft white sand. we could walk from Surfer's Paradise for miles and miles either direction and the blue water and crisp clean air was absolutely amazing.

We walked pretty much every morning up the beach (the wind comes up later in the day). It is a beautiful beach with lots of activities. Lifeguard patrolled areas area every couple of hundred metres and surfers are in between these flagged areas. Sand castle builders, sun bathers, exercisers.... There are all sorts of things going on for people watching:)... More

If you want to just laze on the beach, and get a great suntan. Or do some surfing, or have fun in the surf, Surfers Paradise is the place for you. And at night, there are some of the best bars, cafes, and night clubs to visit and unwind.

The beach was really clean and pretty just like how you would see it in pictures! If i had one advise just don't go during winter which was when my sister and i went and it was just too cold! :(

We went in winter time but it was still stunning and so many surfers out and about. very family orientated. People jogging, riding bikes and skateboards.

Gold Coast beaches are spectacular. White sand, clean water, great surf if you want it at the surf beaches.

We stayed at the Vibe Hotel for one week and we really loved the place. The Hotel is just 3 minutes' walk from the promenade of Surfers Paradise with a lovely swimming pool and views from to the sea, on one hand and to Paradise Island, on the other side. The hotel staff (especially the Hotel Manager) were very helpful... More

Very warm sand all year round! Lifeguards were very nice, and lots of beach people around, but still plenty of space to sit and walk about!
