The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions.Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Though I didn't get into water, I enjoyed all the other things a beach can offer. Beach had sufficient (not too much) light at night. On one side you can have amazing view and sound of waves and on the other side, there's this beautiful skyline of giant sky scrapers.

the beach is great, miles of nice white soft sand. It is nice plenty of park benches line the walking path to rest and watch the beach and ocean, there are also benches that are reclined facing the beach. Standing under the surfer's paradise sign reminds of of Waikiki beach. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the plaza. Very fun... More

Big beach, big waves, big sun. And well patrolled by lifeguards who are pretty strick about staying between the flags - good as the rip can be rippy.

We were in awe when we first arrived at this beautiful sandy beach on Queensland's Gold Coast. (Is it called the Gold Coast because of the golden sand or because of the big money the area seems to attract?) The stunning shoreline seemed to stretch forever. The three-kilometer strip of golden sand that is Surfers Paradise Beach had plenty of... More
