The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions.Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Every time I went there it was amazing. I have the best memories of this place. I had the best swim of my life there, waves were really big, it was great fun. I love this wide and expansive beach, there are plenty of life savers, you can learn to surf and the facilities like toilets and showers are really good. The proximity to getting something to eat, what ever your heart desires is also a bonus and caters for any budget. Love going to this beach, well worth the hour drive

We found this beach to be very clean, I think that they grade it quite often. We walked along the beach every morning that we stayed in Surfers. It was never to crowded but we were there in the off season. It was still warm and very peaceful. Loved it!!

Having grown up in Queensland, and then travelled widely through the world, the beaches of the Gold Coast remain the best I've ever been to for swimming. There isn't the calm relaxing crystal clear waters of some tropical places, but there is miles and miles of soft white sand, clean water, and everchanging wave conditions. Be careful to read the... It has the most apt name for itself becuase its really a paradise. On one end you can see magnificient waves as high as 3-4 feet high and on the other end the beautiful skyscrapers of goldcoast
