Description: The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the...
The three-kilometer strip of golden sand between Surfers Paradise and the Pacific Ocean is Australia's iconic beach, a postcard-perfect locale that conjures up 'paradise' to millions.Throughout the year, our beach welcomes swimmers, joggers, surfers and strollers from around the Gold Coast, around Australia and around the World. There are a few simple things you can do to ensure that your day at Surfers Paradise beach is a safe and happy one.Always swim between the red and yellow flags. If the flags aren't up, it may not safe to swim, so always ask a lifeguard if it's safe to swim if you cannot see the flags. Check for additional beach signage, as this may change every day. Read the safety warnings. Check with a lifeguard about beach and water conditions if you're not sure it's safe. Put your hand up and stay calm if you get in trouble in the water. Stay sun safe: Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses. Leave valuables at home or in your apartment.

Not only was the white sandy beach and surfing waves beautiful but so too were the humpback whales that were traveling through! The view is idyllic and we were safe in the knowledge that shark nets and lifeguards were there to protect us too - really amazing and wonderful weather even in winter 😉

This beach at Surfers Paradise is pristine pure ocean with golden sand. And it's only steps from the main shopping mall ! No pollution here and great waves for surfing or body boarding or just playing. Kid friendly as well and very safe as surf patrols are everywhere. No worries about a place to lay and sunbathe as its a... More

Great beach, pity about all the posers and Wa*kers. If you havent been you shouuld go and if you have gone but now have a family, dont go back! It must have been more fun when we were young but nowdays it seems to have lost some of that shine. Perhaps its just over commercialised.

It is always a pleasure to enjoy the wide expanse of soft sand and the wonderful surf of Surfers Paradise. So clean and food and drink are easily accessed from the beach. You can spend an hour or a day. Its all good

Beautiful clean white sands, interesting place to people watch, they have made it easy to walk along or ride along from one end to the other with plenty of seating around the centre of Surfers if you don't want to go and sit in the sand

The Council ensure its clean and safe and there's lots of things to do on the walk or ride along the Esplanade. It has a great feel and is a real credit to the people who have made a long stretch of beach interesting and interactive. I wish my local council had the ingenuity to put something like this in... This is a spectacular foreshore with a fantastic surf beach on one side and high rise apartments and shops/restaurants on the other. The walk along the esplanade is very attractive and is enhanced on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings from 4 to 9 pm with a craft market showcasing the work of local artists and artisans. A good way to... More

Beach was beautiful but this is where I went Bunjee jumpee. One of the scariest things I've done but what a story to tell your friends! I survived and when I came down, they dipped me hands first in the water.
