Very disappointing experience. The service is really good. But the wax models are less than average. Most don't look a thing like who they are meant to people, to the point their skin complexion is the wrong. Don't waste money on this. However the flip side is the Chamber of Horrors section, the guide was brilliant, very interesting and interactive... More

If you'd like to see what Napoleon looked like in life, than you may find it more interesting. Lots of historic figures lookalikes made from wax. Though they say those are exact replicas, I find some of them are hard to believe in true likeness. Plenty of historical facts are also on display. Overall I found it was worth the... More

I was looking forward to visiting the wax museum as I had previously been to Madame Tussaud's wax museum in London which I loved. To tell the truth I was pretty disappointed. The wax figures are all behind glass and quite dimly lit. Many do not bear much resemblance to the characters they portray and most depict very young versions... More

It's not as scary as they might have you think! It's got a variety of"wax statues" & displays of medieval practices. But the lady who did the guided tour was great, very entertaining also! It's a good day out & worth the money on the fee. It's easy to get to in Surfers PAradise on public transport if you need to,as well.

The chamber of horrors was the highlight. Very graphic and the guide was really informative. However I don't think it is a good idea to take young kids through. Some of the exhibits are quite in your face. Definitely glad that we went there.

Our visit started as a time filler as we were about to leave to catch a plane - as it turned out we spent nearly our whole morning there and enjoyed the "tour section" of the visit most - very informative despite being a bit gruesome. The unescorted part of the visit was only OK but the tour was a... More

We won a voucher to use at the wax museum. As we were on holidays we did not have access to a printer and had the voucher (and barcode) on our smartphone. We had the ability to email the voucher to the museum for them to print (for their record keeping purposes) but they refused to do this as it... More

Printers are available around Surfers Paradise one is only less than 100 meters from The Wax Museum and most accommodation places have printers available for their guests. We are disappointed you could not comply with the terms and condition of the game. More

We went here on our last day in Gold Coast and good thing we did. It is very interesting and very informative. We enjoyed the guided tour of the Chamber of Horrors but sadly no photos can be taken. The guy in reception was so funny. He said that they charge people if they will not take photos inside the... More
