We loved this tour. Enthusiastic guide, great caves, lots of info and explanation. Well worth a visit. Kids where well catered for and variety if adventure options. There was a school group there and it was busy but I was happy with Cathedral tour. Devonshire tea was also enjoyable even though we had to wait a little while:) Couple of... More

What a great weekend we had at Capricorn Caves, just a short drive from CQ's busiest regional centre, but felt like a world away! Small cabin numbers made it a beautiful peaceful place, and the kids had an absolute ball on their caving experience. The little basket of complimentary snacks on the table was a beautiful little touch. Warning though... More

the guide was good and enthusiastic and pointed out the history and features of the cave system. Although the tour is laid out well and has some lovely features, it's a dry cave system and much is above ground, so isn't as impressive as some other wet, under ground caves systems. Maybe a little pricey for what you get.

The caves are advertised as wheelchair accessible. Access is limited and only if you have a very fit carer to get you up some steep ramps. You miss out on about half the tour but still have to pay full price. Disappointed.

We love to visit caves and this is a dry system which is quite different from many of the others we have seen. The guide was knowledgeable and relaxed and you could tell she enjoyed her job. The story of the caves was an interesting one and the acoustics in the cathedral cave were great. They played Amazing Grace and... More

The caves are well worth the effort, a little out of town but great to see and experience. The day we went it was raining and it was really special to see them like this. Recommended for all and it wheelchair friendly.

This was so cool! I went with P2P student ambassadors and we were able to sing in the cathedral and turned off all the lights so we were able to experience cave darkness! :)

This dry cave system is situated 23km north of Rockhampton. The standard Cathedral Cave tour costs $28 and takes place hourly. The highlight of the tour is experiencing the natural acoustics of the Cathedral Cavern where the song 'Hallelujah' is played in near darkness. Weddings and opera is also undertaken in this cavern. Other highlights include a tiny hole to... More

I liked the walk to the Cathedral cave, and when they turned out the light in the cave it was dark and gloomy.

Tour guide was very insightful. Loved the cathedral cave especially the cave darkness feel and music experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
